Well that’s Christmas party season 2019 truly finished. Happy new year, and thanks to everyone who partied with us over the festive season and indeed last year (a lot of you!). And to our clients and contractors who let us entertain you and did the entertaining
Well that’s us done and just about recovered from Christmas Party season. Thanks to the customers (and staff!) of The Royal Hotel Hull for being party animals over the last few weeks! And our DJs for taking the workload in their stride.

Congratulations to our newlyweds for this weekend, Katie & Ben and Emma & Ryan. Two great wedding receptions with lively first dances and great crowds - plus the boss knew one bride and some of the guests as involved in his daughter’s education so a nice little reunion there. We’ll put some photos up in a couple of days to give the brides and grooms a chance to share their own ones on social media first

40th and 50th Wedding Anniversaries don’t come up often, so it’s our pleasure to be entertaining for one of each tonight at The Royal Hotel Hull. One of our couples found a good use for the DJ booth too (and treated it to balloons) 🎉

Looking after existing clients has been today’s theme (and is a year round thing too). A happy customer for the last few years thanking us for entertaining their Long Service dinner last week, and a young lady who’s 18th birthday we DJ’d for wants us back to do a Christmas party for her and her friends. More development and installation work coming too, before the mad rush of Christmas (sorry) parties commences!

A rewarding few weeks for the team, covering numerous celebrations The Royal Hotel Hull as well as production support, setup and operation for Curiosity's 17 hour festival - Hull. Photos and videos from this rather large multi-venue event were shot by the in-house team, and will be shared when they've got them compiled
After a successful weekend of multiple weddings at The Royal Hotel Hull, and the boss doing lights at The Old School House and Court Yard for Dave Pearce night (including the post-headliner DJ set, smashing out the classics), it’s time to start preparing for this weekend - amp rack configuration and cabling a PA for a venue, a dry hire of projection and DJ setup and a wedding followed by a club set all in store
A nice day yesterday across the HU area - working with happy brides and grooms in the evening (congratulations to Sarah and Andrew, and Terry and Zarah) as well as site surveys in the morning for future bookings (including a private residence in the countryside).
Time for the boss to get some admin done, then pick up the phone and speak to next weekend’s happy couples to find out their first dances and musical requirements
Another long day but a successful show (lit by us) at this year’s Rock Stage. Always a pleasure to be involved in festival that was nominated for an award!
All whilst two of our experienced DJ team were entertaining a wedding reception and a 60th birthday. We’ve earnt our sleep!
Last night was all about the hotels, all boxed off before daylight broke (which pleases the boss!).
Tonight we enter clubland. Crowds at The Compound Hull below raving to a sound and light package we assembled. Next stop is The Piper to operate their lights for LOST IN MUSIC at Piper
Always nice when another DJ likes us enough to borrow our kit for their own gig! The Disco setup is looking suitably smart here tonight, operated by Ashley Barton
An excellent evening DJing for John's 60th (happy birthday) at Mercure Hull Grange Park Hotel and entertaining a cheerful (with rather good reason, assuming you like the sun or the football) crowd at Hop Pole Willerby - cheers all round!

The first contracts for The Royal Hotel Hull's Christmas parties are back and signed. It might seem early to talk about it 5 months early, but getting high quality entertainment booked early is key ready for that time of year

We've been working with The Compound Hull team to get the venue ready for their first event - supplying sound equipment for the indoor part and a production package for the outdoor stage (neatly tied into the house system). The sun is shining gloriously and the beats are flowing, here's to a great night! As well as our club-certified boss spinning a few tunes there later 👍

Some great feedback on our work over the past month, including from award winning International Aerial acrobat Roxie Royale - we have worked on her shows previously and look forward to the new dates in our diary
Helping party band The Funky Beats with some lighting for filming their show reel at The Old School House and Court Yard tonight. They sound fantastic, and we're all looking forward to seeing the finished video!
All setup for The Mannequins latest extravaganza. We are running the music cues, a simple lighting package and supplying radio microphones for a tidy and safe show
Last minute lighting hire, providing a searchlight effect for a 1940 themed dinner. Whilst it was only booked yesterday, that doesn't mean we didn't make it neat and tidy - and effective
