In covid times elopment and microwedding are recommended as it is hard to plan a bigger wedding abroad. If you want to get married in 2021, my advice is to opt for elopment or microwedding to avoid the stress of cancellations due to Covid restrictions and uncertainty. Plan a small wedding and a honeymoon in a beautiful place and just enjoy it!

LOCATIONS FOR CIVIL CEREMONIES
Have you ever thought about the possibility of getting married on the stage of an 18th century theater? This is possible in the historic Carignano Theater, one of the symbols of Turin. The ceremony takes place right on the stage and for those who wish, it can continue with refreshments in the Sala delle Colonne. An emotional experience not to be missed for fans who will be able to choose their favorite classical music.

THE PRESENCE OF AN INTERPRETER DURING THE CEREMONY
When both or one of the spouses do not speak the Italian language, the presence of an interpreter who translates into the common language of the spouses is mandatory. This is because the ceremony is celebrated in Italian and translated into the chosen common language.

I realized that I have very few photos taken with the couples I follow. And this is due to the fact that I give space to the spouses and work behind the scenes. I leave room for them to work with the photographer. Confidentiality and discretion are the keywords. This is one of the few photos I have found.

ABOUT WEDDINGS IN COVID TIMES

Wedding in Italy in times of Covid emergency? I have organised some last summer. My suggestion: organise an elopement or invite a small group of people. You will not risk losing money for booking big venues, catering, etc or violating the anti-covid restrictions. An elopement is much easier to manage, it gives you more flexibility and in the end can be a really romantic solution for a wedding abroad in this uncertain times.

DID YOU KNOW THAT......
Did you know that if you have a double citizenship and one of them is Italian, you are obliged to get married in Italy as an Italian citizen, thus following the procedures for the Italians, not foreigners?
I have also had cases where, before proceeding with the wedding, we managed to obtain the Italian citizenship through the decendancy.
If you want to know how - please, contact me!

How things will change after Brexit. Procedures will be different but you will be still able to get legally married in Italy after Brexit

the Amalfi coast, one of the most recognisable Italian places, often a set in many films and TV-series, can also be the background of your wedding. There are in fact a few places destined to be used for legally binding ceremonies. One of them is the former Capuccini Convent, with its spectatular location overviewing the sea. Would you like to get married there? Send a private message for more info.

CURIOSITY: there are no vows in Italy
The so-called marriage promises belong in Italy to the religious tradition but not to the civil one. Until a few years ago all ceremonies in Italy were almost exclusively religious while now things have changed. The civil ceremony, on the other hand, is much more an act of law where articles and a formal act are read. There is the formula of consent but the spouses do not write and recite their vows as expected in other cultures. Today we have become more flexible and they can be added during the Italian ceremony
