Application forms for the Rutherglen/Cambuslang Open Art 2024 Exhibition are now available at the Town Hall.

Submission closing date is 12th July.

Not long now: 50th Anniversary of Landemer Day In Rutherglen.

Landemer 2024 kicks of at 1130 on Saturday 8th June 2024.

Procession starts 1120am from Boots corner to the stage outside the library lead by Cambuslang Parish Church Pipe Band.

Crowning Ceremony begins 1130am - 1245pm. Includes Queen's Entertainment - Cambuslang Church Pipe Band and Robyn Taylor.

Certificates presented to the Finalists in the Rutherglen 900 Logo Competition. You can vote for your favourite either via the Facebbok Page or the Library until it closes on Saturday.

From 1pm live entertainment on the Stage:

1pm Bronx Show Band
2pm Robyn Taylor
3pm Simon Sims Music

There will be stalls from Queen Street to Rutherglen Cross and the opportunity to support local community groups and hear what's going on in the Community.

Let's hope the weather holds up and we'll have a great day.

Our thanks to EVERYONE who attended yesterday's Landemer Day.

The weather in the morning was doubtful but thankfully the rain held off for the Crowning Ceremony. Photos to follow.

Unfortunately, the rain drew our entertainment to an early close.

We hope all stall holders had a great day. I know the climbing wall and the Fire Engine were a great draw for the kids as well as the face painting and the balloon modeler.

Many of our community groups and small business owners were delighted by the support from the folk of Rutherglen and the surrounding area.

The Committee will have a break over the summer and the AGM will be held in the Autumn. Watch this space for the date.

Please accept our apologies, but we can't control the rain and the effect it has on electrical equipment.
