Dallas Friends, this is an organization that my business supports...please consider this emergency need. If you are not able to take these items directly to the Fannie C. Harris Youth Center, please bring to my house today (Tuesday) or tomorrow, and I will take the items there this week.

After 8 To Educate supports the vulnerable population of unsheltered highschool students in Dallas...and they are in need of:

*Blankets

*Gloves

*Socks

*Tents

*Beanies

*Earmuffs

*Scarves

*Coats/Jacket

I've been reflecting on last year's Texas Design Week, and the honor of creating floral elements for the events at .

It's always a pleasure to work with the fantastic team at Culp Associates , and getting to meet and collaborate with the incredible people from de Gournay that

came to Dallas from all over the world for these events! What an honor it was...truly a career highlight!

As much as I love wedding work, flowering non-wedding events are my absolute favorite...because I get to make creative pieces like these! The client was hosting an Italian pizza dinner with an amazing pizza oven from (wish I took a photo of it!) , and served Aperol Spritzes from the bar. These centerpieces complemented the theme perfectly. Ciao!

I was sitting (lounging, rather) on my sofa while fighting a nasty Spring cold and flipping through a local magazine. I came across this feature from Texas Design Week, during which I had the privilege of creating florals for the events at . I can honestly say that this was one of the highlights of my professional career. I learned SO much from the Culp team and
from the team from de Gournay that were here from London and New York.

There is actually science that proves having flowers in our homes provides physical and emotional benefits. Research conducted by the American Society For Horticulture Science has revealed that fresh flowers actually have the capacity to ease physical pain and feelings of anxiety. The study, which sought to find out whether or not plants have any therapeutic qualities for surgical patients, divided 90 patients into two rooms, one of which was filled with plants. The participants that stayed in the foliage-filled space showed significantly improved results than those who did not.
