Our first time, and the recent axe throwing event last Sunday was so much fun!! ⛏️

We met at , hidden inside the secret gem of . Just driving out there was beautiful!! 🌻

We commenced our training and I'm happy to report, no injuries!!! 🤣🙌

We had the opportunity to try lots of different axes and sparta style apparatus, with the option of single of double arm throws. 😋

It was really interesting to see which ones we all liked better! Of course, we had some healthy competition throughout and deemed the event a success!🎉

We then browsed the local markets, and stopped for a bite for lunch, and a good old chin wag 😁

✨ Navigating Uncharted Waters of Motherhood: Embracing the Learning Curve 💕

Hey amazing mums, let's chat about the ever-changing tides of motherhood, shall we?

Soon, I'll find myself standing at the precipice of a new journey—my daughter starting high school. 🥹

The questions swirling in my mind are endless—Will she make new friends? Can I support her through the challenges she'll face? Truth be told, I've never been a mum of a 12-year-old before. And that's okay. 🤷‍♀️

It's a humbling reminder that as mums, we can't possibly have all the answers. Parenthood, like adolescence, is a journey of growth and discovery. I'm here to learn alongside my daughter, facing the uncertainties and celebrating the victories.

My teen years were simultaneously the best and the toughest, and that paradox stays with me as I guide my daughter through her next chapter. 📚

🌸 Friendships, once inseparable, now swaying to the rhythm of change.

Some of my closest friends had embarked on the adventure of motherhood, while others dived into new chapters with partners or careers.💑
And there I was, feeling the pangs of change, yearning for the friendship connections that seemed to slip away.

For the longest time, my world felt like it stood still, while my dearest friends were navigating their new lives.

It was tough, feeling like I was left behind in the quest for new adventures.
But then, just over a year ago, I stumbled upon —a beacon of hope that allowed me to meet incredible new friends and expand my social circle. ✨

friendher_ became the inspiration behind Social Mums, a space where mums can connect in this busy, sometimes lonely world. 🌍

Today, I'm grateful for my long-term friends, and the joy of rediscovering the beauty of shared moments with new friends. 💕

I am blessed enough to have a sister and she is my rock, especially since we have both migrated here from the UK. Before she joined me out here, I was on my own. 🥹

Luckily enough, one night, at a mum's night out dinner, I met my sister-from-another-mister. Who has been my friend now for about 10 years!

I've gotta admit, the holiday season tends to hit me a bit differently. Spending the first 19 years of my life embracing a cold, family surrounding, UK Christmas, the adjustment to Australian holidays gets harder every year. Does anyone else feel that?

Last week was a little Christmas miracle and has really lifted me up. Miss 11 had this adorable idea to bake gingerbread men, crank up the Xmas tunes, and dive into wrapping presents. 🍪🎁 And you know what? It was the first time this season that I actually felt the Christmas spirit, and it was surprisingly heart warming! 😍

Life as a single mum can be very lonely. 🥺

I have my daughter week on, week off, and I honestly don't know where I'd be without my weeks with her.

On my week off I generally see friends or spend time alone, ticking off my to-do list, as there are only so many times you can see your friends in a month, and always doing your to-do list is a lonely task.

So it's super refreshing when she is home, she is like my best friend, that I do things with. ❤️

So no matter how lonely the week might be that she is away, I always have the week she is home to look forward to. 🙌

I know many mums don't get time off from being a parent, and I'm very blessed to have the best of both worlds.

This morning 3 of us met locally for coffee, one came alone, as her children are with their dad, i came with my niece, as I'm babysitting and my daughter is at her dad's, and the other mumma was new to Perth and looking to make new friends!
