Well folks the evenings are getting darker and the days shorter so that means only one thing - we are on the hunt for this year’s Christmas panto cast!! No experience is necessary but a general interest in theatre is helpful. You must be able to commit to rehearsals approximately two evenings a week in the Ballyfermot area. The script is currently being finalised and we hope to kick rehearsals off next week (dates to be confirmed). Tickets are now on sale for our end of year “Back to the 90s show” on June 14th and 15th in St Ultan’s Hall. Tickets are €2 and are available from the gate or children can buy from the library every morning also. Get them before the sell out!

The Ballyfermot Photography Club is a small club of approximately 20/25 members meeting in Ballyfermot Family Resource Centre every Monday night from 7.30 pm to around 9.30pm from the first Monday in September to the last Monday in June.
With novice, intermediate and advanced sections, new members are always welcome, with the club helping and encouraging them to become better photographers and showing members how to improve their images in post production.
During the year the club host guest speakers and also run competitions within the three sections.

Part of The Mens Shed Association, there are currently 25 members all actively retired with one woman original member
Not partaking in DIY like most sheds instead the group make music with many former band members making up their numbers.
New members are welcome, preferably with music skills. Established in 2013, it has been affiliated to The Mens Shed for five years
The group meets Thursdays in the Orchard Centre Community Centre at 10.30am to 1pm and Tuesday nights in the Palmerstown House Pub at 9 pm, playing till 11.30 pm.

The Ballyfermot Sister Shed provides a safe place for women to make new friends and support each other, engaging in varying personal development courses as they become available.
Meeting on Fridays in The Orchard Community Centre from 10am to 12pm, members make a small €5 contribution to fund the group until official funding becomes available
Together they aid women to advocate for themselves and to use the groups personal experiences via discussion to solve day to day problems they experience and get other peoples perspective on the situation
