My guess is that most professionals in service & creative industries are as uncomfortable as I am sometimes when it comes to articulating the value of what we do including our in depth & heartfelt process.

My first official wedding as a planner on 3-15-20, the day before the world shut down. None of us had any idea what the next few years would look like. Although the fear of the unknown dropped our guest count overnight, the celebration continued for this early spring wedding. 💜

Celebrations will always continue.

Hi, my name is Dana. I have been married for 31 years to my best friend. Together we have raised four kids who were all born right here in Nashville! We spent most of our adult lives in nonprofit-ministry roles. When that season came to an end, I called a wedding venue near my house in search of a new opportunity.

This marked the beginning. Nearly 8 years later I’ve been a part of hundreds of weddings & events all over the city! I’ve climbed ladders with florists, mopped venue floors and loaded firewood into pickup trucks, packed catering vans, set countless tables, and prepared brides to take their walk down the aisle.

Weddings and events include hours and hours of communication and hard work. Systems and processes, meetings and calls with vendor friends, design details and preferences, edits and revisions, and early mornings followed by long nights.

The most interesting people have filled my recent years with countless stories.

Now more than ever, I am convinced of the goodness of God and His tremendous love for people. Why so? Because of how He has shown His love to me when I did not have a clue. Joy and peace come from trust in God, and even that is a gift from Him.

For 25 years, I served the church and now I serve brides (and clients) who have hard days and questions too. A bride faces anxiety over deadlines and work-life balance with scheduling and planning details. She wants everything to be perfect and for everyone to enjoy themselves on her wedding day.

If this is you or someone you know, I’d be honored to guide you through the planning process and help bring it all to life. What I can offer is years of hands-on knowledge, trusted professional relationships, and a peaceful experience.

We went around our Christmas table and shared our best memories from 2023 as well as our hopes for 2024. ✨ What are we believing for and anticipating this new year?

One of my hopes is that we make room for more joy on earth by taking a closer look at the one who showed up as a tiny baby and made Himself known to us. 💖

“She will give birth to a son, and you are to give him the name Jesus, because he will save his people from their sins.” Matthew 1:21

And that is just the beginning! The miracle of Christmas becomes part of our story when we see Him for who He is and seek His kingdom above all else. ✨

While I love to design & plan weddings, I’m also beginning the process of writing our story and want to share it with you! 💖

What I’ve learned about life, loss, and love through the years cannot help anyone if I keep it to myself buried in journals.

We will never feel good enough, qualified or prepared to take a step of faith. I’ve waited for years for a detailed timeline, I create timelines for a living. I thrive on them, but that’s not how God works. He asks us for our complete trust in Him. His “word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.” —Psalm 119:105

It’s scary to step out like this, being vulnerable to others’ interpretations and expectations. I’ve decided it’s worth the risk to hopefully facilitate good conversations and healthy relationships.
