Bakewell Platinum Jubilee

Well, what an event, and apart from the weather, what a great weekend.
Our local voluntary organisations who were involved all had a payment from the QPJ and we, the organisers, still have some of the snoods - great for cyclists, walkers etc, T shirts with the QPJ logo, and mugs with a picture of the Queen in 1952 and again in 2022, celebrating her platinum jubilee.
If you want any, message me or call into the Bakewell pet shop or look in the poppy shop in the aracde.
It's the sale of these T shirts, mugs and snoods that enabled us to run this event, they are all limited runs and will not be re-printed or re-done so when they are gone - they are gone!!

From 3:00 Come along, bring your picnics, your bunting and your fabulous cheer let's make it a great one, if you're street party is going to be cancelled..... Relocate here..... No need for plans and money spent to be wasted! The farmers feast bar is open, Sunday Carverys till 2pm!

For those wanting info on the car parking etc, set your SatNav for DE45 1AH and follow the signs for the Agricultural Business Centre. There will be extra parking available on the Bakewell showground.
The Toilets will also be open at the ABC for the convenience of the visitor..

The Queens platinum jubilee beacon will be lit for 2115 Thursday. the beacon will be visible in Scots meadow, and also from Holme lane and Baslow rd.
2 pictures, one shows the size of the beacon, the second is a view from Baslow rd with the beacon in the middle of the picture in the distance - you can see the footpath through Scots meadow.

Then tour town writing down the locations of each of the crown's on your answer form. Once complete you can be entered into a draw to win £70!!

T shirts are selling well. They are £13 and when they are sold, that is it. They really are a limited edition of 110.
Mugs - we have different options at £7, One run is of 40 mugs and that is all we are having done. Again, when sold, that is it.
Snoods -my favourite for 1) motorcycling and 2) walking.They are £5 and again limited to 100 and when gone, there will be no more ordered.

Plans are moving on nicely for the QPJ (Queens Platinum Jubilee)
We have rehearsals on Wednesday evening, and on Friday from 0800 we will setting everything up.
On Thursday 2nd, at 2115, we will be lighting the JUBILEE BEACON for Her Majesty's 70th and it will be visible from Holme Lane and Baslow Road and the bridge and of course Scots Meadows where there are benches so you can sit and enjoy.
We have food available in that the Farmers Feast will be open all 3 days, and we have Firery dough pizza oven, Mexican food, Doughnuts, and many varied and interesting stalls showing off and selling local crafts.
We, the committee, have put a lot of time and effort into this and we are trying to show 'everything thats good in Bakewell' so - please come and support us.

Jubilee mugs now available from the pet shop in Bakewell.
Snoods and T shirts now available from the pet shop.
The majority of items are limited number (100) and are specific to our (Bakewell) jubilee celebrations.
The support you give in buying these will go to the cost of organising the event, and any funds left over will ALL go to local causes that have been involved with the QPJ whether that be helping or running a stall.

Bakewell Platinum Jubilee. 3rd 4th and 5th June 2022.
We now have T shirts, Snoods, and Jubilee mugs, as shown in the photos.
The snoods and T shirts are limited to 100 of each and are designed by Jonathan of www.Flintydesign.com. They can be seen at the Pet Shop in Bakewell, and pre-ordered. They will also be on sale at the ABC/Farmers Feast from 3rd June, the platinum jubilee weekend.
