The Wedding veil.

In African culture, the wedding veil is a symbol of purity. So when a bride walks down the aisle with a white veil, it's simply saying that she is pure and a virgin.

In some religious setting, a pregnant bride is usually not allowed to use a veil because she has already being "defiled".

But how did the use of veil come into the picture, where did it originate from??

Here's the fact..

The veil tradition started from Rome, but it never signified purity, instead it was worn by a bride as a means of disguise while walking down the aisle to protect her from evil spirits who may want to steal her happiness.

Shocking right??
