Happy September! These are the three brides this month that have picked Ambrose beautiful-borrowed-bouquets as their wedding florist. They are all RENTING custom bouquets along with other things like boutonnières and wrist corsages. September is always one of the busiest months for weddings. I only do one wedding a weekend. Step one for my Ambrose beautiful-borrowed-bouquets bouquet making…GATHERING! Since I often meet a bride several months or even a year before her wedding, I rely on notes and photos from our design meeting in order to remember what we decided on. I then count out the number of each flower I will need. In this case I have a bride using some of the same flowers and greenery this weekend. Having the prep work done, it will be easy to put the bouquets together after those flowers are returned. I will get the boutonnières and wrist corsages done this weekend. Btw, isn’t this dress color, called bronzer gorgeous?! I love the look of rust and dusty steel blue with it!
I have finished and packed up custom RENTAL bouquets for another Ambrose beautiful-borrowed-bouquets bride! Hannah’s bridesmaids are going to wear three shades of blue at the wedding this weekend. We decided to add accent colors of magenta and taupe to the usual blue and white. I love how they all came together! I also made a bunch of coordinating magnetic boutonnières and some wrist corsages. Tomorrow I am starting on the next wedding. Busy, busy, busy!!!

I am in love with the way the color combination of flowers looks with the moss green dresses! Taylor is stunning with her bouquet as well! I also made boutonnières, wrist corsages, a garland for the bridal party table and an arrangement for the arbor.

Yesterday bride Madison picked up 10 bridesmaid bouquets for her wedding on Saturday. I also met with a bride and groom about their 2025 wedding. Today I am getting started with custom RENTAL flowers for bride Hannah who is getting married next weekend! The Ambrose beautiful-borrowed-bouquets busy season is in full swing as I pretty much have back to back to back weddings August through November!
It is bouquet building day for the next Ambrose beautiful-borrowed-bouquets bride. This is an unusual situation in that I have never met the bride Madison. Using her inspiration photos and several texts back and forth, I was able to come up with a perfect bridesmaid bouquet for her to RENT. Madison has 10 bridesmaids who will be wearing black dresses. She is getting a fresh flower bridal bouquet for herself and saving so much money by renting these bouquets!
On Saturday I worked with bride Christina and her momma designing CUSTOM RENTAL bouquets for her October wedding. The bridesmaids are wearing auburn dresses and her maid of honor is wearing green. She also wanted to included tan and burgundy in the bouquets to tie in the guys clothing. At Ambrose beautiful-borrowed-bouquets I work hard to not only coordinate the colors, but work with the bride to sort through the many options in my extensive inventory to get just what they want. I will still work on shape and sizes in October, but we have the perfect combination of fall colors and boho elements figured out.

I am ready for an Ambrose beautiful-borrowed-bouquets design meeting tomorrow! The bride Christina sent me a photo of her wedding invitation as an inspiration for these bouquets. The bridesmaids are wearing this rust color dress and her maid of honor is wearing green. She would like to work in burgundy that also in her color scheme. She likes boho white leaves and traditional flowers like roses and mums. The wedding is in October. Which bouquet do you think she will like best as our starting point? As always I assume we will end up with elements from several of them!
I had a great time working with bride and groom Ashley and Tony yesterday. They are RENTING custom bouquets from Ambrose beautiful-borrowed-bouquets. We worked together to come up with bouquets and boutonnières to coordinate with their rust bridesmaid dresses and navy blue tuxes. They have several different shades of rust in them so that they both match and stand out against the dresses in photos. Along with rust, there are a variety of creams, peachy beige, tan, taupe, white and navy blue flowers with dark green and sage leaves. Ashley’s bridal bouquet will be similar to the bridesmaid’s bouquets with a few extra flowers in a cascading teardrop shape. I will also be making an arrangement for them to put on a wooden hexagon structure. This is also included as a rental item for people who rent bouquets. Looking forward to seeing photos after their October wedding!
Packing up custom RENTAL bouquets, magnetic boutonnières and wrist corsages for this weekend’s wedding. Bride Taylor is renting them through my business, Ambrose beautiful-borrowed-bouquets. She is picking them up a few days before her wedding and returning them a day or two after. I am also making arrangements for her to decorating the venue. On this fourth heavenly birthday of my friend Lydia’s grandson, Ambrose Raymond Brown, I thought it was appropriate to repost this information about how I came up with the name Ambrose beautiful-borrowed-bouquets for my custom rental floral business. This was written by Ambrose’s extremely strong and brave mother Alyssa Cousineau Brown. Happy Birthday to Ambrose!
Alyssa and Tyler have started an annual tradition called ACTIONS FOR AMBROSE. They are asking for people to do random acts of kindness today in his honor.
Here is the story :
Many people have asked why I named my business AMBROSE beautiful-borrowed-bouquets. The name, AMBROSE, not only suits my business because of its meaning of immortal and divine, which perfectly represents the fact that the flowers I use will never die, but also because of a very special little boy.
At 22 weeks gestation Lydia’s grandson was diagnosed with Anencephaly, an extremely rare neural tube defect that only effects 1/10,000 babies each year in the United States. It is a condition that is not compatible with life. While this news was unbelievably devastating to Lydia’s family, they chose not to live in that sadness. Instead, they celebrated every single second they had with their sweet son/grandson. While he was still living in his Mommy’s belly they took him to all of their favorite places and activities as a family. From blueberry picking at their favorite farm to visiting the baby hippo at the zoo to traveling to Traverse City, Michigan to swim in the bay, the little boy got to do it all and more while surrounded by the unmeasurable love of his family.
Alyssa and Tyler, the baby’s parents, decided that when it was time for him to go to his heavenly home, Their baby would be a donor so he could live on through the others he would save. Alyssa also set a goal to donate 1,000 bags of breast milk in his name. Due to the many ways this child would positively impact the world around him, his parents chose the name Ambrose Raymond for their sweet son. The words Immortal and divine seem to fit this boy born with so much purpose perfectly.
Ambrose entered the world on August 6, 2020 and got to spend 36 hours in the arms of those who loved him most and though he is no longer on this earth, he continues to show his intoxicating presence everywhere through the unbelievable legacy he has left behind. I am thrilled to honor Ambrose through Ambrose beautiful-borrowed-bouquets for many years to come.
Along with RENTING custom bouquets from Ambrose beautiful-borrowed-bouquets, you can also purchase some extras. I make custom magnetic boutonnières to coordinate with the bridesmaid bouquets. Sometimes the bride wants the groom’s boutonnière to be a little different. Sometimes a smaller one is needed for a ring bearer. Since they are totally custom I can make them as the bride likes. I do my best to not only coordinate the flowers but even the leaves! The bride Taylor also is purchasing custom wrist corsages. These corsages are assembled and attached to a pearl wrist band. Gold and silver stretchy bands are also available. The wrist corsages are not meant to be returned to me. I hope the moms and grandmas enjoy them as a special keepsake after the big day!
I am busy working away on flowers for the next Ambrose beautiful-borrowed-bouquets wedding. Bride Taylor and I came up with the gorgeous color pallet I am calling Earthy Bashful and Blush to go with the moss green bridesmaid dresses. I am surprised by just how much I love the tans and taupes in the bouquets. They really go well with the soft blush and peach flowers. Today I am moving on to custom magnetic boutonnières and wrist corsages. Then comes the arrangement for the arch and garland for the sweetheart table. I usually save the bridal bouquet for the end. Then I wrap the stems with ribbon, safely pack everything up and have it all ready for pick up day on Wednesday.
It is time to get going on custom RENTAL flowers for the next Ambrose beautiful-borrowed-bouquets wedding! The bride Taylor is renting her bridal bouquet and her bridesmaid bouquets to coordinate with their mossy green dresses. I love how these came together during our design meeting back in March. There is so much texture and so many different colors with a very soft, subtle, earthy vibe. I will use shades of cream, blush, taupe, mushroom, dusty peach, tan and white flowers. I am including some pearl and gold stems and gold leaves. Along with the bouquets I will be making magnetic boutonnières, wrist corsages, an arrangement for hanging and a garland for their sweetheart table. Lots to do!!
A few sneak peeks from a wedding over the weekend. The gorgeous bride Karina RENTED her custom bouquet, boutonnière and 13 centerpieces from Ambrose beautiful-borrowed-bouquets. Not only did they save a lot of money, but a lot of time. They picked everything up in easy to carry bins a couple days before the wedding and brought them back a couple days after. No need for them to have to have to worry about selling flowers and vases on market place or storing them. I am busy taking them all apart and putting the flowers and leaves back away until they are selected again!

All set up for tomorrow’s Ambrose beautiful-borrowed-bouquets design meeting. The bride Cat is wanting white/off white flowers with dark green leaves for her custom rental bridal and bridesmaid bouquets. The bridesmaids are wearing black dresses for the September wedding. Although she knows she wants white flowers, I have so many flowers and leaves to choose from. She knows she wants roses to coordinate with the lace in her bridal gown. Throughout the years, some brides who wanted all white flowers ended up with some shades of beige, taupe and gold in their bouquets so I also included those in the sample bouquets.
Pick up day today for another Ambrose beautiful-borrowed-bouquets bride. Karina RENTED her bridal bouquet, boutonnière and 13 centerpieces. I don’t normally do centerpieces like this but since she doesn’t have bridesmaid bouquets I had enough flowers in my inventory to make this work. I love the orange, yellow, blue and white color scheme! Can’t wait to see photos of their big day!!
Getting started on the next Ambrose beautiful-borrowed-bouquets wedding! Karina is RENTING her bridal bouquet and a coordinating boutonnière for her groom. Instead of making the usual bridesmaid bouquets, she is renting 13 centerpieces. They will be similar but smaller than the bridal bouquet! Excited to work with a new color scheme of orange, blue, yellow and white.
Tomorrow is pick up day for another beautiful Ambrose beautiful-borrowed-bouquets bride. Emily is getting married this weekend and chose to RENT custom wedding flowers from AMBROSE. She had me make these colorful bouquets to go with blue bridesmaid dresses as well as a bigger one for herself. I made coordinating magnetic boutonnières and wrist corsages as well. Finally I put together a garland that they will lay on their sweetheart table. Emily is the niece of my good friends Chris and Sharon. Happy Fourth of July! Throughout my 3 1/2 years of designing custom RENTAL bouquets through Ambrose beautiful-borrowed-bouquets, I have rarely used any red flowers but boy oh boy have I used white. Blue has been one of the most popular bridesmaid dresses that brides have chosen with more shades of blue to come throughout the rest of the year.

Her bridesmaid dresses are wearing green dresses that will be beautiful with these bouquets of light blue, blush, peach and white flowers! She also had me make custom magnetic boutonnières and wrist corsages that beautifully coordinated with the bouquets.
16 custom magnetic boutonnières to coordinate with the custom RENTAL Ambrose beautiful-borrowed-bouquets bouquets that I made earlier in the week. Next up are custom wrist corsages. These items are not considered rentals. If a boutonnière is returned I refund $5 for each one. I do not expect wrist corsages to come back but instead can be kept as a sweet memory of the special day.
Working away on the bridesmaid bouquets for the next Ambrose beautiful-borrowed-bouquets wedding. Bride Kristen is RENTING custom bouquets to coordinate with the light green bridesmaid dresses. She loves the wildflower look for the bridesmaids and we decided to add some roses and peonies to her bridal bouquet. The soft pinks, peach, white and light blue will be so pretty against the green dresses. Kristen liked the darker peach flower so much we named it the Kristen and I have continued to call it that when other brides rent it! 😂😂😂 I will also be making boutonnières and wrist corsages to coordinate.
Today I met with a beautiful bride to be who is getting married in a month. Emily is the niece of my great friends Sharon and Christopher Redmaster. She is RENTING custom bouquets from Ambrose beautiful-borrowed-bouquets. I will also be making custom magnetic boutonnières, wrist corsages and a garland for their sweetheart table. Her bridesmaids are going to be in two shades of blue dresses and the groom/ groomsmen will be in navy. She wanted me to design bouquets to have an English Garden Bridgerton vibe. We worked together this afternoon to design bouquets with roses, peonies and other flowers in shades of pink, peach, cream, white and blue. I enjoy working closely with the brides bringing their wedding visions to life. Emily was so excited with our final result and since my friends will be at the wedding I will get to see a lot of wedding photos!

Taking apart the bouquets from last night’s show and putting them away in an orderly manor…. While watching Getting Organized with The Home Edit girls. I don’t agree with their rainbow system for organizing everything (especially hate that they do that with frig and pantry… do you really memorize what color the package is when you are looking for something vs what type of food it is?) I absolutely need to rainbow colorize flowers for Ambrose beautiful-borrowed-bouquets. I have a very small space to store and organize them so I have to carefully pack them up in an orderly manor until they are needed again!
