On Saturday, I had the absolute pleasure of pronouncing Aly and Danny husband and wife.

It was one of the most stunning setups I have ever seen, on one the best summer days we've had, with the most gorgeous couple!

Introducing Mr and Mrs Garvey. 🤍

It was so incredibly special marrying Mel and Mike over the weekend.

Mel and I met at pregnancy yoga almost 3 years ago, and we connected right away. Our babies had the same due date (not that it means much, as only 4% of babies are born on their date!)

Fast forward a few months, and we ended up giving birth only hours apart, a few rooms down from each other. We were the first friends to meet each other's babies, only hours after they were born.

So, as you can imagine, it was an real honour, as a friend, to officiate their marriage!

It's been one extremely fun wedding year, and every single couple i have married has been an absolute pleasure!

I'm so, so happy that 2025 wedding season is in full swing, and i get to do it again over the next few months! 💍

Happy 1 year anniversary, Courtney and Sam.

I was lucky enough to meet Courtney at the birth of my daughter (she is the most incredible midwife in the world!!), & was so honored when she asked me to he her celebrant 1 year later.

The lambs have arrived, daffodils are blossoming, and the countdown to warmer days is almost here.

That means us wedding vendors come out of hibernation, AND wedding bells start ringing.

My calendar is almost full. I'm gutted that I've had to turn down quite a few couples this season. It seems that everyone is getting married on the same date!!
(I only take on one ceremony per day so I can give it my best.)

Wrapping up the season with some of my favorite moments!

I have met the most down to earth, genuine, and kindest humans I have had the pleasure of marrying this 23/24 season.

As the wedding season slows over the winter months in Hawkes Bay, I've been loving meeting all the couples for 24 /25 weddings... I've hit the jackpot with this job!

This is as close to a tropical wedding as a celebrant of New Zealand is allowed to officiate.

We are only allowed to marry couples within the New Zealand territorial boundary. FYI to those friends asking me to marry them overseas!

If you're planning a destination wedding, you'll need to enquire at the destination how to go about getting your marriage licence overseas, and chat with Births, Deaths and Marriages in NZ to find out the legalities of getting hitched overseas... without a hitch!
