Having some really good friends coming over tonight for a special dinner! Tonight’s menu! gold grade ribeye filet, .campogrande iberico pork secreto and some a A5 striploin! I think we’re gonna have an amazing tasting menu tonight!

Last nights dinner did not suck at all! Grilled up some prime NY Strips that had flavor!!! Tried out that Carvers Prime and then grilled over some Premium on the Kettle. As always, love serving on my and slicing em up with my custom blade! Thanks for following along yall! I’m getting back into the swing of things in the house and should be getting more cooks soon!

Wow, what a Saturday! I was blessed to be asked to be a vendor and serve samples for the first ever GrillFest. It was an absolutely perfect day, outside of too windy for me to get the Santa Maria fired up. We served around 750 samples of Korean short ribs, smoked pork loin, brisket style pork belly (I hate calling it that) and 35 pounds of smoked chicken wings. With all that meat, I got Millie, my loaded down and she handled the wind beautifully! I was so lucky and blessed that my much better half, did so much of my paperwork beforehand and then came and helped our daughter, serve all those folks and were amazing ambassadors for CubbieHawkBBQ! My buddy Bobby came and helped me keep the fire going and helped season and sauce and slice everything! I learned a lot and can’t wait to take everything and keep improving for my next event! Thanks again to all who came out and tried all my samples and for all the feedback! Also, a special thanks to and for having me on & to talk about my bbq journey! I truly appreciate it.

Oh my goodness!!! Just got home from an amazing trip down to Fort Worth to hang out with some friends for and I open my birthday present (was this past Saturday) from my awesome kiddo, and my goodness I’m blown away! My very own burger/steak CubbieHawkBBQ branding Iron!!! I can’t wait to throw some brands on some burgers!!! Thanks so much Claire! Love ya kiddo!

My goodness! My wife has totally spoiled me! I have shown this beautiful knife a few times, but wanted to really just show it off! Custom knife with some CubbieHawkBBQ yellow pins and this knife has blown me away! ordered this custom blade from for Christmas! Hey all, with everything in the house needing replaced, I’m looking at upgrading my range to a 36” gas range. I’ve attached a few options, let me know if you know someone or you might have one of these! Wanna see what folks think! Hoping I can pull the trigger over the weekend and maybe save some money! What a weekend, was blessed I was asked to cook my kiddos final move before her cross-country move to WA. We have done yearly cooks for and her friends and she wanted one more time before her move and asked me to grill up some kalbi, Korean style beef short ribs. So, got 7.5 lbs of beef ribs from B&B Grocery, Meat & Deli, a local spot that’s been around for over 100 years and cuts it to the thickness we like! Decided I would get Millie, my custom smoker and Santa Maria built from out and grill up as much meat all at once as possible…clearly this Santa Maria is huge, easily had room for a few more pounds if wanted. Good luck with your new journey Claire! Can’t wait to cook for you when you come home and visit your and myself!

Wow, what an absolute amazing past week! I want to thank my amazing wife, for spoiling me rotten and taking me down to Texas and then letting me eat whatever I wanted! We started the day off with some bbq at and I got to meet Marc, another guy who uses as his cooker! Marc and his team are turning out some absolutely amazing bbq, everything from the brisket to ribs to sides was top notch! We then walked around the Stockyards and even took a nap! For dinner, we went to the top floor of our hotel, which is where is located! This is a restaurant and they killed it! Wow is all I can say! We started with some delicious Patatas Bravas and some grilled Oysters! The wife had some amazing Scallops with Serrano green chile curry and pistachios. I had an absolutely delicious Iberico Pork Secreto with chimichurri and Aji Amarillo Salsa. Then we finished the meal off with a delicious Cream Catalana along with a nice take on an Eapresso Martini as the wife had some wine! Thanks for for following along!
