Head to Garver Family Farm Market and get your Thanksgiving arrangement! The heirloom mums are grown on my farm in Liberty Township! So excited to share these long lasting cut flowers! I will be bringing some down each day for the next few days but I have a limited number available! Happy Thanksgiving!

Operation “Save The Mums” complete! The beautiful life of a flower farmer! Heirloom mums usually do not survive our winters so they have to be dug before a freeze. But I am going to try to take cuttings in the early spring and grow my stock!

Beautiful buckets of dahlias harvested today. This drought and heat have been very hard on all flowers but especially the dahlias. They love cool weather and lots of rain. Come on rain!!!

The Cincinnati Dahlia Society is holding a dahlia arranging class! It is such a fun evening and the dahlias are amazing! See below if you are interested! I will be there and am happy to answer any questions that you have. All you need to bring is a good sized vase. We will have everything else you need! Lisa

Ready to advance your floral design skills? Or just want to get together for a fun flower filled get-together with friends. Then this would be the year to attend our annual Dazzle with Dahlias Floral Workshop. Better yet, has this event become an annual favorite?

Leading us this year is Tarah Holman, owner of Posy Cut Flowers and a member of the Cincinnati Dahlia Society. Tarah had always enjoyed growing flowers and when COVID arrived, she made it her mission to grow even more and deliver bouquets to her friends’ doorsteps in an effort to stay connected. What started as a way to have purpose during the pandemic turned into a flourishing flower business. Check Tarah out on Instagram: .

For this workshop all you need your imagination and a container. Lots of dahlias and other flower varieties, clippers, and water are all provided.

When: August 29, 2024. 6-8pm rain or shine.

Price: $75

Registration is required and can be made at cincydahlias.org. The workshop is limited to 30 people so, grab a friend and sign up.

Note: The design techniques taught at this workshop are not the same criteria for competition floral arrangements used in our annual show.
