We are grateful to be a part of 57th Annual Reno Basque Festival: Please join us on Saturday, July 19, 2025 at McKinley Arts and Culture Center (925 Riverside Drive) for our annual Basque festival. The day will start with mass with Aita Antton followed by weightlifting, woodchopping, and dancing exhibitions. This year, we are excited to have your local ZBBC dancers and the Elko Ariñak. There will be a lunch of chorizo sandwiches, beans, salad, cheese and wine served. There will also be paella served, but there is a limited quantity so be sure to get there early to get your paella ticket. There is limited seating available inside the venue, but there is a nice shaded, open-air area so please bring chairs, blankets, and/or tables to sit outside and enjoy your meal. Later in the afternoon, we will have the popular txinga weight carrying competition and more chorizo sandwiches for sale! That evening join us at The Row at 8:00 PM for music by Amerikanuak!

had a great time at this years cook off & “competition”. We made many new friends and look forward to “making memories through flavor” in the Reno / Tahoe and surrounding areas! Thanks again to everyone who made it happen and especially the patrons...maybe next year we can add a “people’s choice award” to the mix huh?! 🤔😉🤙🏽🥘

My father, Javier, who I draw inspiration from every time I cook paella. I miss him very much but he is with me all the time and I feel him the most when I cook for clients and friends. He was the master of bringing people together and making them feel welcomed and special. I love you Aita
