🌿 Student Trainees Spotlight – Rainforest Habitat 🌿

Today, we proudly concluded the Industrial Training program for our student trainees from the University of Goroka – Samson Junior, Luther William, Monica James, Belinda Enn, and Zilpah Pascal. 🎓✨

Over the past weeks, they have contributed their energy, curiosity, and passion for Environmental Science, Biology, and Conservation, gaining hands-on experience in animal care, sustainability, and fieldwork at the Rainforest Habitat.

On behalf of the Rainforest Habitat Management, we extend our best wishes to each of them as they continue their academic journey and future careers in environmental leadership. 🌏💚

🐊 Fresh Look for Agro, Our Saltwater Crocodile 🐊

Today at the Rainforest Habitat, our dedicated team rolled up their sleeves to give Agro—our mighty Indo-Pacific (Saltwater) Crocodile (Crocodylus porosus)—a refreshed home. 💪

The team cleaned his pool, repainted his exhibit walls, and gave the entire enclosure a fresh new look. Agro is the largest reptile species in the world, capable of growing over 7 meters long and weighing up to 1,000 kilograms. Here in Papua New Guinea, saltwater crocodiles are not just an iconic species but also play an important role in culture, conservation, and sustainable farming.

Big thanks to the team for their hard work in keeping our wildlife ambassadors safe, healthy, and thriving in a space that visitors can truly enjoy. 🌿🐊
