Alyson was born and raised in the heart of England. She moved to Paris in 2015 when she met her wife. Together they moved to the west of France, where they now live with their two dogs. Alyson spends her time reading sapphic fiction books, writing and Scuba Diving.
Alyson discovered her love of writing in her mid-thirties. Her debut book, A Dance Towards Forever, was inspired by her wife and their very own love story. Alyson wrote Diving Into Her and award-winning Always Emilie, which added with her first book, created The French Connection series.

I have exciting news!

Our venue has been confirmed, and once the contract is signed, the official signup form will be posted and emailed out to all that filled in the original Expression of Interest.

This event was always supposed to be in Blackpool, but we feel that moving and touring the UK is the best decision. I hope to see so many of you in our new city πŸ’œ

Here is the official Expression of Interest for Indie Lit Con 2026 (previously names Books on the Beach).

This will be our fourth event at Blackpool, but our sixth event including Indie Pride. That's crazy!

We have a change of venue, which is why there is an Expression of Interest, but change of venue means possibly more authors to attend.
