BBQ today, Oct 21st!

‼️Come by today, Oct 21st, starting at 11am, to taste some of the best bbq in NC!

This event is open to the public and our legion family!

This is American Legion Post 116’s 5th annual Whole Hog BBQ competition! 🐽

Each team cooked a 110 lbs Hogs and a 10 lbs Butt.
That is a lot of BBQ to eat!🍽️

🗓️We will be selling People's Choice tickets for $10. You can sample all 15 cook team’s cooking!

🎤🎸 We will have a band too!

📍Make plans to stop by it is going to be a great time for the whole family!

Ooh! Come on out this weekend to American Legion Post 116 for the Bbq! Open the public and legion family!

‼️Don't forget this weekend is our 5th annual Whole Hog BBQ competition! 🐽
🔥We will start cooking Friday night, Oct 20th, about 7 pm and Judging will start at 9 am Saturday morning, Oct 21st. We have 14 teams this year!! Each cooking 110 lbs Hogs and a 10 lbs Butt.
That is a lot of BBQ to eat!🍽️

🗓️Saturday at 11am we will be selling People's Choice tickets.

Additional Information:
(UPDATED) The FVGM is an approved SNAP/EBT farmers market and offers Double Bucks up to $30. This means that if you scan your EBT card for $30, you will receive $60 in tokens to spend with SNAP eligible vendors. The Double Bucks program is sponsored by the NC Cooperative Extension- Wake County Center and the Downtown Fuquay-Varina Rotary Club.

Parking is available in the back lot off Ellis Street. Please avoid parking in the front side of Joyce Family Restaurant, as they have graciously offered their back lot for market patrons. Overflow parking is available across the street and at Centennial Square on E. Academy (2-minute walk). There are a couple of handicap parking spots available in the grassy area off Ellis Street for those who need them.

For safety, please use the designated crosswalks in front of Town Hall or at Academy St.
