🍽️: Soul Food Lounge (CHI- Beverly) : The Soul Food Lounge offers a vibrant fusion of Southern comfort and Asian flair, creating a refreshing experience that both honors tradition and redefines it. Visiting for a family celebration, we were welcomed by warm, accommodating staff who made the night memorable. The CAROLINA CRÈME SALMON & PAN POLENTA, with lemon garlic spinach and buttered shrimp, was a standout favorite, blending soul food richness with inventive twists. Dishes like the HONG KONG HONEY SHRIMP and DOMINICAN COCONUT CATFISH showcased creative flair, though a few elements could use refinement. Overall, the imaginative menu adds a dynamic layer to the soul food experience—I’ll definitely be back.

🍴: Tre Dita : Tre Dita at the St. Regis feels like the perfect spot for a touch of luxury with a laid-back vibe. From the moment you walk in, the staff is friendly and attentive without being overbearing—just the right amount of “personal touch”.

The Bruschetta Classica is the kind of starter that feels simple but elevated, with marinated cherry tomatoes and basil that taste like peak summer.

The Gamberi in Salsa Verde is fresh, with blue prawns that practically melt in your mouth, and the Fiori di Zucca? A ricotta-stuffed dream that’s rich but not too heavy.

The Pici Cacio e Pepe shines with its simple, peppery bite, , while the Rigatoncini all’Arrabbiata brings a subtle heat that hits just right.

And don’t skip the cocktails: the Il Tempo Vola, with its Four Roses Single Barrel and house bitters, is the kind of bold yet smooth drink you sip slowly, savoring each second.

Epoque is an Italian-Congolese singer and rapper known for blending Afrobeat, hip-hop, and urban pop.

/// 🍴: Tucked away in West Town, Brasero continues to dazzle with its vibrant flavors.

On my sweetest day visit, the grilled prawns stole the show, each perfectly charred bite elevated by a zesty aioli and ramp salsa verde.

The moqueca—a hearty stew of shrimp, mussels, and mahi-mahi swimming in a fragrant coconut broth—offered layers of depth, enriched by the accompanying coconut bomba rice and the house nut mix, which added a pleasant crunch. However, I did find myself wishing for a bit more rice to fully soak up that luscious broth.

Even the pão de queijo, with its delicate pairing of papaya jam and herbed Catupiry cheese, felt like a masterful combination of sweet and savory.

Having frequented this spot before, I can confidently say they don’t disappoint.

/// Dates with my friends are literally chef’s kiss. 🤌🏽 I lowkey love them more than the “romantic” dates I’ve been on.

🎭: Cabaret ZaZou was a whole vibe! It’s gave fun, drama, and high-energy performances that kept us entertained the entire night. It was very interactive and engaging.

It’s been a whirlwind, but it’s feeling like a light breeze over here.



🍴: Mirra: Had the chance to visit Mirra and was impressed by their creative fusion of Indian and Mexican flavors. I tried the Skull Island Prawn Chaat, Octopus Sopecitos, Tava Varuval Salmon Fry, Roasted Beets, and Crispy Taco. The roasted beets with pecan-black garlic salsa were a standout, and the salmon fry was packed with flavor. The prawns were my least favorite, but still good. Everything was chef’s kiss 🤌🏽 Definitely a spot I’d recommend checking out!

🎵: ‘Sappy’ by KOHH because the laid-back yet edgy vibe matches the bold fusion of flavors at Mirra—unexpected, complex, and effortlessly cool.

Y’all it’s that time of year again! As y’all know every year I celebrate T-up Day! 🎉

It’s all about honoring the incredible man I met on his birthday, and since then, it’s been my personal ritual.

Some people might not vibe with it, but hey—grief is personal.

Celebrating his life doesn’t mean I’m stuck in the past; it means I’m remembering him with love and good energy!

This Sunday, I’ll be celebrating during my set at the Sunday Social Day Party at Hubbard Inn! 🎧✨ I’ve got something special lined up, so come through and let’s make it a whole vibe! We’re celebrating LIFE, growth, and everything in between. 🥂🎂

Plus, I’ll be donating to World Central Kitchen, because spreading love and giving back is what it’s all about.
