I guess you could say the monkey is out of the dungeon...er...the cat’s out of the bag: I’ve added a new routine to my show in which I find a freely named playing card while escaping from a straight jacket! This routine has been so much fun to perform and has gotten an amazing response from the audience, so be prepared for more pictures from the act being posted very soon!

Let’s talk about the ethics of filming magic performances! For me, the audience of a magic performance will always be the people physically there with me, so even in the event a live performance is recorded or live streamed, I will always cater the performance to the physical audience, unfazed by what the camera sees. In fact, I’m not afraid to flash the camera, since the camera is not my main audience. It is physically impossible to direct the attention of a camera, so there is no reason to try to. Sometimes the camera picking up a flash in a live performance can be even more beautiful than if it didn’t. Do you agree? Let’s chat in the comments!

Some pictures from my recent performance at the 2021 DeSales Got Talent Show! I had a great time performing “Bigger Than a Deck of Cards” for the DeSales student body, and I’m very grateful to have came in 3rd place! As I mentioned in the show, I’m seriously so thankful for the continued support each and every one of you gives to me and my magic, DeSales is the best audience I’ve ever performed for! Now, it’s time to plan for next year’s show; things are about to get...insane!

THIS THURSDAY (4/29) I will be performing my original routine “Bigger Than a Deck of Cards” at the 2021 DSU Got Talent Show! The show begins at 7:30 at the Billera Hall Rec Courts and is only open to current DeSales students. Seating is extremely limited, and there will be lots of food, giveaways, and raffles for everyone in attendance! Masks and Social Distancing will be in effect!
