Merry Christmas!

When I was a little girl I use to get in trouble for picking roses and flowers from my Grandma’s garden. I also wrote in a picture book from kindergarten that when I grew up I wanted to be a gardener and in the picture I drew I was holding a flower (was probably one I stole from my grandmas garden that I drew) I think instead of a gardener I meant florist. It also could’ve been how much I’ve always have had a love for flowers and the beauty of flowers which is a reason that has always been on the inside of me from a young age and for my love of designing with flowers to this day. Each flower has such a beautiful and individual story to tell and getting to be apart to create something authentic for each individual or couple that is for such a special life moment and in a way, we as florist get to be a part of. We get to create something memorable and brings me to remind how special flowers were just like on my wedding day. I don’t take it lightly, but it’s a privilege that I get to design something for such a special day and I’m thankful I can partner with couples to make their wedding day dreams come true. Plus, I know that is a day that they will remember forever. Every person I get to make flowers for, I think about how loved they are and how much that person means to the person that took time to send them. That’s why I do what do and love what I do.

Now, why this course would help as well as mean so much to me? Well, it’s because I struggled with growing my own floral business and also lack some knowledge in certain areas like growing a business. I also know that my floral design can always be refined.

I would also greatly look forward to the absolutely beautiful roses from Grace Rose farm as well as working with Shean, while gleaning from his skills and knowledge. I’ve reached out to him before and truly appreciate his genuine heart and can tell how much he cares for other floral designers and wanting to see them succeed and bloom in their gifts and talents as well.
