Behind The Scenes🎬
Before the exhaustion (and snacking on cheese in the bushes like a weirdo) happens, there is a fierce focus and positive determination to finish any project that is put before me.
The director & visionary for this shoot, .people , came to me with an interesting story and concept that I just couldn't say no to! She was cool with me completely deconstructing her wings to create this consumed-by-the-forest look for our model . It was awesome to be afforded such creative freedom and I am so happy with how they turned out!
Bonus shot: me standing in as a test subject for setting up framing & photo composition...while completely exhausted eating cheese in possibly the strangest way to eat cheese. Enjoy 😜

Floral fashion has always been a passion of mine! It’s part of why I took the dive into building Branches in the first place!
Artists such as , , & inspired me so deeply, that I knew I had to work with flowers to enjoy my professional life. When I discovered their floral artistry, it infected my brain and permeated every single thought and dream I had for months on end! I saw the world in a new way that allowed me to bring inspiration from all around me. It’s a great way to live, I highly recommend you all try it!
Then, I got the immense pleasure of going to & joint workshop last year in Seattle! It was so incredible learning how to create these kinds of wearable pieces firsthand from the masters. Their teaching me how to properly utilize to achieve my wildest design dreams has been LIFE CHANGING! The world is now my oyster!
Of course, learning how to make your own shoulder pads was KEY knowledge for these epaulettes for the Field of Lilies shoot. I learned how to do these epaulettes from the book The Art of Wearable Flowers by . Go check it out people, it’s awesome!
THE POINT IS: Thank you to all who have inspired and taught me along the way. I look forward to continuing this process of learning and self discovery through my floral designs!

BOLD | ELEGANT | DRAMATIC
These three words are what I keep in the back of my mind whenever I design. If my designs don’t fit these three words, then I need to find that unique element that brings it all together.
As creatives, collaboration is more important than ever. At all times, especially during covid times, it is imperative that we build each other up, rather than tear each other down.
Collaboration will keep us all building and improving upon our crafts, challenging us to be better. Collaboration will give us clarity of purpose and bringing us joy.
That is exactly what our Field of Lilies shoot brought me: clarity, joy, and challenge. I loved getting the creative freedom to experiment in ways I have always wanted to with my florals. I’m so grateful to have been a part of this amazing shoot!
Big shout out to Quiana for challenging herself and exploring her styles and poses! She held this pose and other equally difficult poses like a CHAMPION! She made it look effortless the entire time!
