i’ve got some vids from my set at that i’ve been meaning to share. easily one of my fav gigs ever, and i met so many great people in basel, i lost count. it’s a warm feeling when you leave a city with more than just the gig, like it was something bigger. huge thanks to everyone involved, the artists behind the tunes i played, and .zip + for being the sweetest & also sending me these memories. see you in 2025 ^^

machine woman hit me up to record a guest mix for her show on .fm, and i'm stoked about this collab. i've been a fan of her work and her perspectives on the electronic music scene for ages. beyond her knack for experimentation and releasing some of my all-time favourite bits, her insights on the biz, living it up in different spots, djing fundamentals, production routines, physical formats, and much more have been immensely influential. when working in any art field, picking role models who push you to keep learning and think deeply is key (way beyond just your gigs and what you're into). working on this has injected a new level of drive into my life, and i'm mega thankful to for the shout

for the 45-minute mix, i aimed to dial back the tempo without losing the rhythmic essence, going for a pulse, a heartbeat feeling. this involved exploring unfamiliar bpm ranges and incorporating glitches and brass samples with live. it includes a selection from gems by monoiz, bohren & der club of gore, l'uzure, filippo brancadoro, steinbrüchel, yuki matsumura, tradecraft, the outsert, 9beats, loek frey, paleman, ena, cerrot, harald uunk, and biosphere, among others. i hope it resonates with you ^_____^
