My name is David Corsen, I started baking and designing cakes in 2012 as a hobby while studying law. My turning point was in 2017, when I decided to part with Law and to officially start up ‘David Corsen Cakes’
This was the year were I was honored with a nomination for ‘Komersiante Briante’, and I was also selected by a renowned cake designer from Cake Boss for a cake structure defying gravity challenge in Seattle. This opened up the door for me to create multiple international celebrity wedding cakes and also to be recognized on the list of top 20 Caribbean structural cake designers.

Being a self-taught cake designer, I am humbled to have been well received with my creations & flavors locally and internationally. I love the challenge in creating any kind of beautiful and innovative cake design, but I do believe the taste factor is equally important. For this reason I offer a list of 40 fun and modern flavors besides the traditional local flavors. If I have to single out my specialty in sugar art; creating the most realistic sugar flowers has been my trademark. My love for all flowers made me analyze them in such a way that I focus on all the details. Just the thought of creating edible flowers that can look so realistic gives me a sugar high. As much fun it is to create themed cakes, my true passion has always been with designing wedding cakes. What can I say……I am a just a true romantic and LOVE weddings!

Notably the understanding of light, composition and moment. Anybody can press the shutter button on a camera. But only the person behind the lens can see the world from another perspective.
