👉🏼 Simplify. Clear. Clear. Clear. And then clear some more. Closets, basements, garages, drawers, cabinets, and your body. Hit the easy button by clearing what no longer serves to make room for the new.

Yesterday, I had the honor of capturing a truly special moment—a Marine couple tying the knot before heading off to serve our country. 💍❤️ Their love story unfolded in the simplest, yet most profound way, right there in the courthouse.

With their uniforms pressed and their hearts full, they exchanged vows that carried not just love but strength, courage, and a promise to stand by each other through it all. 🌊🇺🇸

Hiiii! My name is Sam. I'm a slightly quirky, slightly adventurous elopement photographer serving slightly quirky, slightly adventurous couples who crave a "THIS IS SO US" dream wedding experience.
Focusing on candid moments and emotions, my documentary style (or photojournalistic ways) allows me to showcase true, authentic love stories through the art of photography. Oh, and did I mention we venture to epic heights (quite literally) to capture their once-in-a-lifetime romantic adventure? Heck, yeah!
Why?? Because there are no similar lovers in the world, as each couple has their own story. It's unique, personal, and only theirs to tell. Buuutttt..once a couple decides they're ready to say "I do," it's my responsibility and joy to help capture their cutie story through beautiful photos.
Destination weddings are my JAM. Crafting an intimate and exciting day allows the couple to focus on their connection and avoid the pressure of a big production (in a siiiick location). It's also a chance for them to craft a day that reflects who they are as a couple and hand-pick a "just us" experience.
Okay, the good stuff..
Last year, we held a giveaway for a *free* international wedding photography package on the Isle of Skye, Scotland. Our adventurous American couple, Alicia and Cody, packed their hiking shoes to climb and say "I do" on the steep, rocky slopes of Old Man Storr at 3:00 AM (perfect for catching the sunrise). And we're doing *another one" right now! Woo-hoo!

Samantha Nieman is a slightly quirky, slightly adventurous photographer serving slightly quirky, slightly adventurous couples who want their elopement to scream, "THIS IS SO US!" She loves capturing wildly in-love couples seeking a genuine, adrenaline-infused wedding experience worldwide.

From the mountain tops of Scotland to free-falling from a plane in San Diego, her client's love knows no bounds. She puts a "thrilling" twist on saying "I do." After all, it's a once-in-a-lifetime chance to express your love with the one that matters most (so make it epic). Allow her to capture all the mushies, laughs, and smiles.

She'll deliver some seriously epic photos. But, more importantly, she'll provide caring, judgment-free expert advice. She loves cultivating deep and meaningful relationships and connecting with those around her. It's her goal to make you feel authentically YOU during each shoot.

When she's not traveling the globe, she's saving it at her part-time gig at Hillside Solutions. Here, she's a sustainability consultant who advocates for bettering the planet by teaching folks how to recycle responsibly.

Her deep passion for caring for the earth has become a spiritual practice in both saving and savoring the environment. These "soul-making" experiences led her to create
with her buddy, Kaleb Duncan. It's a Facebook group that gathers like-minded folks to better the planet and raise vibrations, encouraging authenticity and allowing each member to shine bright in their gift.

Our culture values speed. It measures success in productivity and cheers on a hustle mindset. Our phones “blow up” with messages to do more, be more, and take on more. Some of us cram as much as possible into our days.
We fill our free time with activities - some of which might not be yours. But all the rushing around catches up to you - burnout, misconnections, unfulfillment. Disconnection happens. Being in a hurry can prevent you from enjoying the little moments, especially with your partner. These small, seemingly insignificant moments are the ones that truly matter in a relationship.
When did you last do something playful with your partner? What about something new? When have you intentionally made time to rest together?
The “slowing down mindset” will allow you to connect more with yourself (and your partner). It’s not about doing less. It’s about shifting perspective. It’s about prioritizing presence over productivity.

> Practice Mindfulness by paying attention to the moment. You are exactly where you need to be.
> Set boundaries by saying “no” to things that don’t align with priorities. It’ll help create space in your life for things that matter.
> Savor all the moments or “glimmers,” like a walk in the park or an afternoon in the pool.
“Slowing down” isn’t a sign of laziness. It’s a conscious decision to live more mindfully and intentionally to live a more fulfilling life. If your mind is racing, take a deep breath and slow down. Your mind and body will thank you.

Joshua Tree. Oh, Joshua Tree. For months + months, I’ve dreamed about this sacred space. Quite literally, astral traveling high into the desert plain to lay flat; we soaked up the sunshine like cute lil’ solar panels. A stillness in my mind I could only dream about. I thought something magical would happen here - a feeling, an action, or clarity - something big, monumental even. 🌵
We finally got to Joshua Tree. Nothing, but chaos in my heart. Peace wasn’t stopping by. I didn’t find solace. Internally, I battled harsh weather conditions. The wind wouldn’t stop blowing me in all directions. The sun beat down - hot, humid. I couldn’t see anything. Emotionally, drained from the dry heat. It happens. Relationships with even ourselves are difficult to manage at times.
It wasn’t until I started editing pictures (from this shoot) that I ran across this quote + a message for you came blazing in - loud & clear.
Just as it’s the Joshua Tree’s struggle that gives it its beauty - with its resilience amidst the harshest environments, holds a beautify that’s both rare + profound. Walls captures this essence, reminding us that beauty thrives not in conformity but in the unique, untamed spirit of the Joshua Tree. Its struggle for survival isn’t merely a fight; it’s a performance that adds depth to its beauty.
This principle holds equally true in the realm of love. Relationships draw their strength and character from the trials they weather together. Each challenge deepens the bond, making it more resilient + unique.
Love finds its most authentic expression in this dance with struggle, emerging more beautiful and distinctive. The beauty in nature and love, then, isn’t found in the absence of struggle but in the grace with which it’s embraced, making each story of survival a masterpiece of its own.
The uniqueness of the Joshua Tree’s growth pattern mirrors every relationship’s unique path, shaped by experiences and hardships no other pair will exactly replicate.
