I love filming 🎬⠀

During this time where weddings aren’t as frequent I’ve been looking for ways to be creative and keep filming 🎥⠀
⠀
Because we rent the majority of our equipment for our weddings, it has been hard to justify spending the money to keep filming when we aren’t actively at weddings right now. ⠀
That’s why I’m excited we have our DJI Osmo to keep filming with our phones! This little guys keeps each shot stable and smooth! ⠀

Monterey ❤️🎬

In January , Tim and I left for our honeymoon to Carmel, California. We specifically stayed in Monterey so that we can spend our time in this idyllic town . ⠀
⠀
But then we found Pacific Grove, and it took us a couple of days to get to Carmel because we fell in love with this place. ⠀
⠀
We had our cameras out the whole time trying to experiment with different shots and camera settings! It was the PERFECT place for filming .⠀
⠀
As I was scrolling back through our photos I kept thinking how beautiful a wedding would be here. I can visualize the camera and how it would move and capture this place while our Bridge and Groom are placed in and around all of this beauty ❤️ ⠀

This moment is simple, it isn’t staged , it wasn’t planned. It was a moment that my mother-in-law and I were in the middle of making my wedding bouquets. ⠀
⠀
I just loved how delicate her hands were as she took her time placing small strands of pearls into the bouquet. ⠀
⠀
And I remember feeling so lucky that I had a Mother-In-Law that was joyful and happy to help. These pearl bouquets were not easy to construct, but the outcome was beautiful. ⠀
This moment wasn’t a huge moment, it was small, it was classic. ⠀
⠀
And I will always remember this time with her laughing and burning ourselves with hot glue while we tried to figure out what length to make them and how to make them stand up without falling over long enough to place in more pearls. ⠀
⠀
I love her and I love that this moment was captured. That’s why I love small moments like this because they carry big memories. ⠀
⠀
Excited to share with you all a small video of this bouquet later this week so that you may enjoy the outcome of this classic moment as well. ⠀🎬

That’s one of the many reasons I love filming , because those small moments may not be caught in the midst of the action, but we’ll catch it with our cameras so that you can experience it and remember it forever ❤️

Coffee. Everything is okay now that I have this beautiful, hot cup of liquid gold that I can slowly sip next to my husband on our patio. ⠀

This week was hard, scary, and I found my self saying, “WHAT am I doing?”⠀
⠀
I’ve learned I LOVE filming weddings but I am NOT GOOD at engaging with other people on social.⠀
⠀
I prefer face to face interactions where I can actually SEE YOU and HEAR YOU and learn about your big day!⠀
⠀
Posting on social doesn’t seem genuine to me some days, do you ever feel that way? ⠀
⠀
Although this year has been Inspired by a Twilight Zone episode I hope to encourage you and show you beautiful videos, images and ultimately entertain you! ⠀
⠀
And then when this dust begins to settle, I hope to see your faces again at a local coffee shop where we can all take a deep breath and say “ Ah, coffee.” ⠀

Your love for life is contagious! You raised us kids on black & white films, MGM musicals and songs from the classiest decades!

You taught me that my dreams are attainable, that I was capable and talented enough to become a Director and tell stories professionally.

You filled me with hope, pointed my eyes to Jesus and I know without a doubt that any life is possible and worth having.

My favorite director is Steven Spielberg, he’s a big dreamer. He used to make the movies he’d dream about seeing in the theater…it worked out fairly well for him. ⠀

What is the fairytale wedding hidden in your heart that maybe you’re afraid to dream about?
You might be nervous to dream too big, especially in times like these. ⠀

😌Please dream. When you dream, you’re not being foolish or silly, you’re being hopeful. You can have your dream wedding, and your dream film!⠀🤩😉

spouse as the stars of your own film, what does the scenery look like? What are the expressions on your guests faces, what does your husband or wife look like? What are you feeling?⠀

Behind The Shoot:⠀🎬🎥
My favorite weddings are the ones where I’m working with my family, especially this gal!
⠀
So, I’m filming the sweetest bride ever, Gabby and all of sudden I look over and see that my cousin Em ( and wedding coordinator) has seated herself behind the receptionist desk and she just looked so formal that I had to film her! ⠀
⠀
She caught on instantly and now we have this gem!⠀
⠀
My favorite part is at the very end she sees someone approaching the desk and she instantly goes back to ⠀
pro mode!⠀
⠀
I love this sweet lady; Tim & I filmed her wedding in 2018 and I hope that we will work more weddings together in the future ❤️🥰

We’re MARRIED! January 11th, 2020 Tim & I were married at the Belmont Mansion in Nashville, Tn. It was truly MAGICAL! Our theme was Beauty & The Beast in the 1920’s! (I know!!! 🤩)

You might be thinking “Do you have a video?!”
We don’t…and I know that’s so weird! I LOVE FILMING WEDDINGS; it is my favorite thing to do!
However, for our day, the majority of our friends are all filmmakers, and we wanted them to be there with us and witness us saying “I do”.
Which ironically, we forgot to do!

Then shortly after our honeymoon we arrived back home to a slow burning chaos. Weddings began to be delayed, postponed, and for many…cancelled.
Daily I witnessed my videographer friends and photographer pals either reschedule or cancel the weddings they had booked MONTHS in advance, and now what? I panicked a tad too. What am I going to do? Who will want to spend their money on videography now?
Especially with finances being strained for so many.
“What do I do?”

That question soon turned into, “How can I help?”

If your wedding has been postponed, or even cancelled for this year, I am so very sorry. My heart hurts for you, I completely understand your pain. I encourage you to be hopeful, in fact I’m making it my job to provide hope, encouragement and lots of insight into the wedding videography life to hopefully inspire you and keep your spirits up for when it’s time for YOUR WEDDING.

YOUR WEDDING WILL HAPPEN! And when it does, I will be here for you. I hope to see you walking down the aisle VERY SOON, I’ll be the one with the film camera 😉

❤️THANK YOU❤️ To all of our sweet couples this Summer who have been incredible to work with as we’ve ironed out our process and found better ways to serve our clients. This was our very first Summer filming beautiful stories and I am so excited for the upcoming Season as we begin planning for next season and continue to book for the Fall.
