DCAD: New Election Announcement

The DC Association of the Deaf (DCAD) will be hosting an election for all board positions.

Per the DCAD bylaws, DCAD is recruiting for the election committee. DCAD wants you to join the election committee.

If you reside within the 495 Beltway, you are eligible to serve on the committee. Please email your interest to [email protected] by Saturday, March 9, 2024.

Hi, friendly reminder to get your free timed-entry pass for DPHH at Library of Congress on January 4th (Thursday)! While 5:00 PM is full, you can pick 4:45 PM or 5:15 PM and after for your pass.

The Library’s Thomas Jefferson Building and all exhibitions will be open for extended hours on Thursdays. Hello, I'm one of your hosts; Phil- I have a big question for those who attend my H st network/dine events. I am working on finding a new bar for my next event in April. However, could you give me your feedback/ideas? Here's the list of bars known to be one of the best in the area by H st and Gallaudet. However, some of them are not accessible to the Deafblind due to darkness (but maybe deaf-friendly for most Deaf-sighted people).

NOTE: The main DC Deaf Professional Happy Hour that takes place at different bars all over Washington, DC will still happen on third Thursday of the each month.

For the duration of the 2022-2023 school year, the monthly H St Deaf Professional Happy Hour event will be on the first Thursday at Biergarten Haus German bar on H street, easily accessed by DC streetcar or bus. Address is 1355 H St DC.

Come socialize with your old and new friends.
