[Gaza Charity event Peace Bird with icotto]

It will be held at the International Exchange Plaza on December 3rd (Sun).This time it will be co-hosted by Peace Bird, a refugee support group.We thought about what we could do so that the baton of peace could reach Gaza from Tottori.

Through international exchange, I hope that you will learn even a little about what is going on in the world, feel close to people from the Middle East through communication, and cooperate with me in what I can do.

Personally, I hope the families of my Middle Eastern friends in Tottori will be able to live in peace.

We will support those who don't understand English, so we would like to have a meeting where they can easily participate.

SDGs お手玉作り

東郷小学校PTAで今年から実施している「ともだち１００人プロジェクト」に、icottoとして参加して、たくさんの方との出会いを通して多様性を学ぶ機会を作るための活動をしています。

今回は敬老の日ということで、地域のおばあちゃんに、日本の昔あそび「お手玉」づくりを学んで、完成したらみんなで一緒に遊びます。

ただ、お手玉を作るだけじゃなく、今回は作るのはSDGsなお手玉です。材料は、地域の方が着れなくなって寄贈してくれた古い着物や浴衣の端切れと、小学生がみんなで集めたペットボトルキャップチップ状にしたものです。

いずれも捨てられるはずのものをリユースしてつくる、環境に優しい≪ＳＤＧｓお手玉≫です。お手玉遊びという文化を子供達が地域の先輩方から学ぶのも、SDGsのひとつです。

　今回も外国の方にも来ていただくので、日本文化を知って、日本文化を世界に広める機会にしたいと思います。

The "100 Friends Project," which has been implemented by the Togo Elementary School PTA since this year, is an activity to create opportunities to learn about diversity through encounters with many people.
This time is Respect for the Aged Day, so we will learn how to make beanbags from the old Japan play with local grandmothers, and when they are completed, we will play together.

However, instead of just making beanbags, this time we are making SDG beanbags. The materials are scraps of old kimonos and yukatas donated by local people who could no longer wear them, and plastic bottle cap chips collected by elementary school students.

Both are environmentally friendly ≪SDGs beanbags≫ that are made by reusing things that should have been thrown away. One of the SDGs is for children to learn the culture of playing beanbags from their seniors in the community.

In addition, All over the world people will come this time as well, so I would like to use it as an opportunity to learn about Japan culture and spread Japan culture to the world.

[Icotto to BBQ]

We had a barbecue party at M***abase this month.I was able to meet new people and had a lot of fun!

[welcome party for the new student]
"We held an exchange lunch party between foreign and university students at the newly opened local restaurant ""とものいえ"" last month."
We ate Japanese food with students from Mexico, China, Taiwan, Africa and Malaysia.
I met a lot of students, talked to them, and found friends to do this year's activities together!

[Looking back at the African party]

On March 21, the 10th event was successfully held.

I personally had a lot to reflect on because of the poor physical condition of the members I relied on, carelessness caused by getting used to it, and lack of preparation.
I'm really sorry to everyone who participated in such a meeting, but I've also received feedback that it was fun, and I'd like to increase my motivation to make it more enjoyable next time, so I look forward to working with you in the future.

This time, there were some people who participated after seeing Instagram, and I realized once again that SNS is important for the spread of activities.

I'd like to plan cherry blossom viewing next month.

[9th icotto Chocolate Event]

It held at Sidre in Good Hill!
We made chocolate from cacao beans.

And Hassan presents in Egypt make koshari and enjoyed lectures and tasting.

After that, we'll all play board games.we can enjoyed it together

We received feedback from the first participants.

The board game was fun.I was able to communicate with foreigners and enjoyed it with peace of mind.It was nice.

I found it hard to make chocolate.I was surprised that the cacao beans were bitter.I want to try it at home.

The koshari was really delicious.The red sauce and black beans were delicious.

I could only use my name in English, but I'm glad I could enjoy it without worrying.

Next time, we will hold an African event in Sidre on March 21st.We will have a workshop on African soup and making macrame using African beads (like bracelets).If you are interested, please feel free to join us.

[Icotto presents Christmas party]

This is the eighth time.
It was held in Sidre just like last time.I was wondering if it would be canceled because of the heavy snow warning, but More than 50 people participated this time too.
Participants were multinational, including the United States, Indonesia, Egypt, Spain, Australia, China, Palestine, the Philippines, and South Korea (^^)

This time, Julian prepared a lot of things and created a space for friendship.
And Yao's accordion and Mr. Kawash*ta's flute made Christmas even more sparkling.
Finally, Yonju became Santa and the children were very happy.

I will try to hold it once a month from next year.

This is the seventh time.
Back to the starting point, Takopa. We've participated more than I expected, and it's a big success!

[Aoshima Halloween Party]
Halloween party.This time, people who started studying English participated, and everyone communicated in clattering.
First, let's introduce ourselves and have a cosplay contest.
The top three players were selected and then fled.
Hide-and-seek using Aoshima as a whole was physically reckless💦
As a result, I couldn't find it, so We changed it to tagger in the square.
I ran around the most seriously this year.

After we play games together, we eat snacks.
I thought it would be nice to communicate with each other.
In the end, the tagger was defeated by the children and ended.
We had a lot of things to reflect on, but We would like to do it again someday.

At night, I attended drop-in parties, drank jungle juice, and met interesting people.It's been a long time since we met, and it was a tiring but fun day.

I was aiming to create a space where I could communicate in English, I might not necessarily have to use English. If you have any good ideas, please let me know (^◇^);)

[Document movie & Talks]
We gathered in a hurry and shared our thoughts.
We discussed what we could do now while listening to each other's opinions based on the actual situation of neighboring countries that accept refugees.

[Icotto for the summer festival in Japan]
Because of the Corona disaster, we rented Clark High School for making wind chimes and Japanese playing.
The weather was nice and the sound of wind chimes was beautiful.
As a result of the team competition, I felt a sense of unity and naturally developed exchanges.
After that, I enjoyed watermelon splitting and it was two hours in no time.
I was more nervous than I expected, but I was able to finish it well.
"This time, people who could only speak a little English participated, and I was happy that they said it was fun."
It will be held again next time.
