Kyoto Kyoto

The east Londoners invoke strands of Anatolian psychedelia, Krautrock, German and Turkish spoken word and noise-rock intensity across the releases and live sets. Their debut EP Mirror Flexing Jaw released on Blitzcat Records to critical acclaim and a sold-out Paper Dress Vintage during IVW earlier this year. Catch them play at The Prince Albert a week today.

Not long until Web take the stage alongside HAAL and Kyoto Kyoto on their rotating headliners tour.

Having rubbed shoulders with the likes of Sorry, Wu-Lu, Legss, Lice and Talk Show. Now, with live shows presumably back on the menu, the band are looking to take their flamboyant strain of grunge further afield, and stake their claim as one of the UK’s most daring new rock bands.

Honeyglaze - the South London based, haiku-loving trio, comprised of vocalist and guitarist Anouska Sokolow, bassist Tim Curtis, and Yuri Shibuichi on drums.

Their debut album ‘Honeyglaze’ is set for release on 29th April, via Speedy Wunderground. A self-described “opposite to a concept album” that sonically encapsulates the who, what, where and how of their individual circumstances coming together as one. Honeyglaze is a meticulously transformative feat of which, in their own eyes, is a “quite accurate” sonic encapsulation of who the trio believe to be.

Leading up to the album release, they are set to support Wet Leg across their sold-out UK tour. Catch them play their only show in March at The Green Door Store this coming Saturday. Ticket link below.

Upon the potholed streets, amongst the increasingly gentrified train stations and the suffering of the voiceless that surround them - purposefully and abhorrently disregarded by the ignorant - stand LUMER, surveying the stark reality of it all.

LUMER have this uncanny ability to evoke the gritty trauma of modern day society and channel such hurt and agony into wondrously affecting notions. Brimming with undeviating venom, their music veers from frothing with condemnation and dwelling in such stark clarity to personifying the increasingly traumatic state of the world with a certain poetical romance. It’s intensely isolated, brooding with a curious assuredness yet indelibly scorched by the very reality we are utterly consumed by.
