Through chatting with couples and planning their ceremonies over the last few months, I’ve had many conversations about what to include in your wedding ceremony. Do you want to acknowledge those who have travelled? Honour loved ones who can’t be there because they’ve passed on or couldn’t make it? Give a shoutout to special people?

I’m always up for shoutouts and acknowledgments, but I also love to remind my couples that you will have the chance to do this yourselves during speeches later in the celebrations! (IF you decide to do speeches that is.. there was no way I wasn’t taking an opportunity to get behind that mic 😂🎤)

Sometimes these special mentions feel right within the ceremony, while other times they might serve a sweeter purpose when said by the couple in their speeches—or even both! ❤️

Just some food for thought if you’re in the midst of planning your ceremony. And yes, this is also a perfect excuse to share another pic from our day! 😘

Special moments from Grace & Matt’s glorious wedding back in February ❤️ The weather couldn’t have been better for their riverside ceremony! This river holds a special place in my heart—I spent my childhood here and even got married on its banks at our family shack. Every detail of their day was perfect, and I loved being a part of it 🥰

I absolutely adored meeting, getting to know, and marrying Krystal & Sam (& meeting little Winslett of course 🩷). Their love story is so unique and magical, and the details they shared made it a joy to write and tell. Thank you, Krystal and Sam, for trusting me with your special day. I can’t wait to see your love continue to flourish from afar. ❤️

Can’t decide who your witnesses will be? Why not pull a name out of a hat?! Guaranteed big smiles & laughter all around! 🥰😍

Fun fact: To be legally married in Australia, you are required to have 2 x legal witnesses (over the age of 18) to sign your certificate of marriage at the time of the ceremony. But.. there are no rules about how you decide who they will be (as long as they meet the required age & consent). Loved this fun alternative option with Emma & Darcy ❤️‍🔥

Looking for a fun alternative to traditional flower girls/kids? Extra big smiles from EVERYONE when Sam & Krystal had the little loves in their life walking down the aisle with bubble wands. 🫧😍
They were a HUGE hit with the kids and guests, highly recommend! The kids were entertained throughout the ceremony, and who doesn’t love random bubbles in the air? (Bonus: they are quiet too.) 🙌🏼 Swipe to see the cuteness overload! ❤️

When your guests think they’re attending a surprise 30th birthday, but it turns out to be a surprise wedding! 🥹 Caity and Josh pulled off the ultimate twist, and I had the honour of being part of their amazing day.

It was so much fun helping them keep their secret and witness their love story unfold. Meeting these two was a genuine delight ❤️

I’m about to hit snooze on weddings for a couple of months in the “off peak season” and I’m a little bit sad to be honest!! I have been over the moon these last few months marrying so many wonderful humans and I just know I’m going to miss all of it ❤️

These two were my first wedding for 2024 and you’re only hearing about it now because it was a sneaky, secret backyard wedding! ❤️

Kate & Will were married at their home around 11am, surrounded by their immediate family & fur babies (with a delicious feast that followed shortly after). They then celebrated two months later with their favourite people and a party! 🙌🏼

Did you know that by law in Australia, you need to give 1 months notice to get legally hitched? 👇🏼

All of this is handled with your celebrant by completing the Notice of Intended Marriage (as per Marriage Act 1961).

Yes, you can APPLY for an exemption and a “shortening of time”, However the reasoning must be incredibly important (medical, legal reasons, etc) otherwise it will likely be denied🙅🏼‍♀️

Always make sure to reach out to your celebrant with plenty of notice so you can get married when you really want to!❤️

I married my favourite person on Friday ❤️
“Special” doesn’t come close to describing how it felt to be the bride and experience a wedding from the other side. I feel blissfully happy and even more excited to celebrate all of my upcoming couples now!

This week I am away at the beach enjoying some sunshine & much needed downtime. But I will be straight back into weddings with a very special one this weekend in the Barossa for a couple that I went to high school with, so adorable 🥰

So many of us have this misconception that we either have to choose between a “traditional” wedding ceremony OR the Registry office.. 👇🏼
But I want you to know that the options are *endless* for how you can to get married! As a civil marriage celebrant I can get you legally hitched in SO many different ways so it feels completely right for you!

Feeling the love as peak dates are getting snapped up! 🥰
On a side note.. It genuinely makes me sad to tell couples I'm already booked on their special day (which is clearly something I need to work on.. 😂😅). I totally get that the idea of planning for 2025 might seem wild.. but in the world of weddings, it’s not too early to secure your dream team for your wedding day!

Happy 1 year lovers ❤️ A year ago on January 6, 2023, I had the joy of being part of my first-ever ceremony for my dear friends Victoria and Andrew.

Their trust kicked off my journey as a Celebrant, and I'm so thankful for their belief in me! Loving this wild ride & cannot wait for the many more love stories to come 🩷

A BIG yes from me 💒❤️ It was so special to marry Ben & Kim at @faithwoodchapel with the lovely Kylie from @kyliesouthphotographer capturing all the special moments! Fun fact: Kylie and I are from the same town in South Australia. Before I recently retired my grippy socks, I used to be one of Kylie’s Reformer Pilates instructors - so fun to work alongside this lovely human and at this gorgeous little ceremony of all places 🥰
