Today marks 4 years since my first ever popup and I’ve celebrated by having a weekend off and doing s**t all except walking the dog and drinking.

It’s been lovely 🥰 would totally recommend 10/10 😆

Catering is really hard work anyway, but on top of a full time job it’s one step away from soul destroying. Days of prep and planning and sourcing ingredients, then days more cleaning and repacking kit afterwards. And the margins are pretty much none existent, but I hate the idea of putting prices up and life is expensive enough as it is for everyone.

Don’t get me wrong, I’ll carry on doing it because I love it but these weekends off, with NO PLANS?? They’re fu***ng GLORIOUS 🤣

This Sunday!

We got brisket, pork belly, tandoori chicken and halloumi with hot honey 🌶️ 🍯 🤤

Weather looks a bit s**t, but it’s always sunny in the pub 😆😆

Live music from 1700 too, what’s not to like? Everyone loves a Sunday funday. Might see if we can dump the cars when we finish and get on it 🍺 🍻 🍹 🍹 🍷 😆😆

Next Sunday, 14th September we are making our debut appearance at The Hop Station, and one of our last appearances of the year! 🍺 🍻 🍷 🍸

They have live music on 1700-1900 so we will be slinging bbq from 1400 until we sell out, this is one we’ve wanted to do for a while as it’s so local and one of our favourites places for a pint, and we can’t wait to feed you guys!

We have loaded buns 🍔 and loaded fries 🍟 on - think smoked brisket, smoked pork belly and tandoori chicken and halloumi 🪵 🔥 💨 🍖 🥩 🍗

🎫 Tickets are still available for what promises to be a fabulous day with live music, beer and of course plenty of bbq, and you can also buy tickets on the door!

We have featherblade and pork collars going on the smoker later 🔥 💨 🪵 🥩

🌭 🍟 We will have German sausages and fries all day - a choice of a cheddar and jalapeño frankfurter or a bacon krakauer, or moving mountains vegan franks 🌭 🍟

And throughout the day we will be running limited specials available in a bun or on lapsed fries - come and ask us what’s on!

🔥 Pulled smoked beef featherblade with either chimichurri, garlic mayo, crispy onions, chives or with a Korean bbq sauce, fresh herbs, chillies and sesame
🔥 smoked pulled pork with pickles, cherry bbq sauce and crispy onions

Tomorrow’s the big day—The Bra-B-Q 2025 is finally here (but don't forget your wellies!)

We’ve been keeping a close eye on the forecast, and while the weather might throw us a bit of classic British drizzle, we’re fully prepared. The garden is covered with as much tarp as is humanly possible—so you can relax knowing the day is set to stay dry, fun, and full of good vibes. That said, it's been raining for a couple of days now and the garden is soggy at best. Tomorrow will not be the day to parade your new stilettoes.

And let’s be honest… a little rain never stopped a true Bra-B-Q! If anything, it just adds to the atmosphere. Think of it as a free cooling mist while you’re dancing, eating, and raising a glass. 🌧

So bring your best smiles (and maybe your waterproof mascara)—because come rain or shine, it’s going to be unforgettable. 💜

This year, your ticket won’t include food – and here’s why that’s GREAT news:

👉 Grills Grills Grills will be on-site all day, serving up incredible BBQ.
🌭 No set food slots, no restrictions – just eat what you want, when you want.
💥 Even better? A share of the profits from all food sold will be donated to charity

The menu will rotate throughout the day, but here’s a taste of what you can expect:
- Smoked pulled beef featherblade with mustard mayo & chimichurri
- Homemade chicken tikka with green chutney, tamarind sauce, mint yogurt, onions & coriander

Ladies and gents …. After a prolonged radio silence we are back! I hope you’ve all been enjoying the sunshine!!

I’ve been SO busy it’s not even funny. We are 3 for 3 on the comps this year - if I win the fourth one, I’m retiring 😆😆 we’ve catered private events and did a wedding last weekeBosty Fields : Secure Dog Park back out feeding you lovely lot - catch us at Bosty Field : Secure Dog Park for their summer fayre - we’ll be slinging grilled German hotdogs, smoked beef chilli and smoked pulled pork available as loaded dogs or loaded fries.

On Thursday we are doing brisket and Texas toast, smoked hot links, pulled pork sliders and pit beans for travelling whiskey society bourbon tasting

And next weekend we are catering a private 80th birthday party!

Massive thanks to Warley RFC for having us back again yesterday for presidents day - and an even bigger thank you to everyone who joined the queue and demolished all the stock in 3 hours! The weather forecast looked grim but the sun was shining and we had beer, rugby, music, and the best company - grassroots community rugby exactly as it should be!

We were packed away and properly on the beers by 6pm 🍺🍻

It was also the first outing of our new massive fryer, and I think it’s safe to say it was a success.

Next up we will be at XO Lounge on Sunday 25th May from 2pm, serving up smoked meats, loaded fries and mac n cheese!
