BUSINESS UPDATE!!
Hello my lovelies! It’s a bit late to be saying happy new year isn’t it 😆 I hope you’ve all had a lovely winter!!
I gotta say, a little bit of light in the evenings now is a real teaser - we are due fools spring soon, my absolute FAVE week of the year and I’m hoping this means I get my BBQ mojo back 🔥
For 2025 I have decided to rein the events in and slow down a bit, and this is for a combination of reasons.
First of all, costs have got so much higher over the last 18-24 months, and people have less money to spend. We have always tried to make sure that you have maximum bang for your buck and I don’t want to put prices up where I don’t have to, so I will be reliant on economy of scale to make it sure it works for everyone. This means fewer events but bigger events, (hopefully) with more footfall.
Second, I work full time and each event is days of planning - menu planning, food prep, smoking, service, packing away and cleaning. It’s exhausting, and last year sucked the joy out of my hobby. Honestly, a massive part of this is for the love of feeding people and cooking stuff I want to cook, but financially it’s just not worth the massive amount of effort that goes in to it.
So, while you absolutely will see us about this year, it won’t be as often. But when you do see us we will be breaking out the good stuff for you beautiful souls!
