Hats off to Cat for being one of the most logical and honest brides I think I’ve ever had the pleasure of working for. From the quoting process through to the lighting of candles at the reception she held space for herself and myself to be transparent about pricing, expectations and ex*****on. Cat & Connor trusted me with their big day so wholeheartedly and I walked away from them at the end of the night feeling truely appreciated by them both and I couldn’t ask for anything more 🥰

Hey. I’m Jerika.
Time for a not-so-formal it’s me post. I’m a mama to 3 head strong little boys, wife to one very fu***ng patient husband, passionate advocate for living life in the most uncensored and imperfect way, a self proclaimed goofball and a creative at heart 🙃 my career started when I planned my own wedding in 8 short weeks and couldn’t afford an over the top arbour piece my brain was dreaming up. With a little encouragement (& discouragement) and whole lot of delusion I made my first floral install (see my first ever post). From there it snow balled, a friend would ask, their friend would ask etc etc. Being fully self taught and quite literally somersaulting my way through the industry, I’ve learnt so much in such a short time and as I’ve grown I’ve leant more and more into full styling services. I could just provide blooms. But I wouldn’t walk away from the clients and jobs I have with the same amount of fulfilment. I don’t want to just bring you your flowers and f**k off. I tried, I cant do it. I relish in the trust and commitment that my clients have in me. The chance they take on this chaotic creative, and the gratitude they show me for moving mountains for them on their biggest day, because that’s how much I care.
I’ve been lovingly referred to as slightly vulgar, unconventional, and downright chaotic sometimes but this is how I want to run my business, you aren’t getting a brand, or a polished professional. You’re getting me, with a heap of premium blooms and skill to bring to the table with a side of dickheadery, and some of the most whacky thinking on ya feet kinda service you ever did see. Being so transparently me from day dot. There’s no business me vs personal life me, this was so important to me when I started out, I didn’t want to have to check myself and my nature constantly, I am my brand. And if that’s something that aligns with my couples then that’s all I could ever hope for.
I’m not everyone’s cup of tea, but if I sound like I might be yours then please hit me up and let’s co-create a downright amazing experience!

Throwing back to this magical day.

Where my love for Shimmer roses began, where I was trusted with my biggest job at the time to date, where I learnt I can do harrrrd s**t, where I felt so much love and encouragement from my support circle, where I was trusted with someone’s special day wholeheartedly 🥹 beyond grateful that I get to create for people and call it work 🤌 this s**t sets my soooouuuul on fire.

I told myself I was having a little break from styled shoots, and then Carina from pitched me the most epic concept ever and I was saying ‘f**k yes’ before my brain could stop my mouth 😂 I tell you what though, it’s times like this that I’m stoked I’m such a ‘yes guy’ 😍

This industry has been so kind to me, I am forever pinching myself over the amazing and talented human beings this accidental career choice has landed me amongst. Which excites me even more when there is someone new who gets to experience and share all the love and support too! I want to extent the warmest of welcomes to 🥰 you’re going to thrive in the events world ♥️ you are absolute freakin sunshine to be around and I am so honoured to be involved in your debut.
