Such an amazing opening night this year. Harrison Lampert and Magic in Heels with Kayla Drescher workshops were incredible. We hear the jam sessions lasted until 3:30 in the morning with a surprise visit by the Wapper Snapper? Please confirm if you saw this amazing routine!!
Day 2: Registration opens at 815. We can't wait to see all our awesome friends.

NEMCON 42 is so excited to have Harrison Lampert appearing at the convention this year. Harrison will be doing a special Friday Night Event for those staying at the hotel and registered for NEMCON. Harrison Lampert will be lecturing with an actual hands-on workshop Friday Night. The topic of the lecture is “How to Use Improv to Improve Your Routines and Performances”.
And this is someone who knows what they are talking about.
Harrison is an alumnus of The Groundlings Sunday Company in LA and has been seen in various films/TV including Ghosted, American Housewife, and Fresh Off The Boat. He is also known for the viral video Magician Sells W**d to a Cop!

Highlighting our amazing performers this year at NEMCON we had to start with our local lady made world famous, Magic in Heels with Kayla Drescher
From headlining her own show at Rhapsody Theater, Chicago Magic Lounge, The Magic Castle, to appearing on Penn & Teller Fool Us and creating the Shezam podcast, which won the John Nevil Maskelyne prize for noteworthy contributions to the literature of magic.
Kayla is coming back to CT to perform a special Friday night lecture as well as perform in both shows Saturday!
We are so lucky to have such an incredible talent owe us such a big favor lol.

We are sad to report that Harry Lorayne has passed away this morning.

Harry was the 2002 NEMCON honoree and a performer/lecturer at the convention in 1985 and 2002.

Hello everyone!

I just wanted to give a thank you to everyone for supporting our annual auction at NEMCON to support the Thomas R Prete Memorial Scholarship for the Arts.

Since 2009, thanks to your generosity, we have given away over 20 scholarships to worthy graduating High School Seniors.

This year, through your bids and donations, we have raised over $800!

Thank you again…and see you next year!

PS. If you’re clearing stuff out that you’d like to donate to the auction…let me know…I’m starting tomorrow to prep for next year! 😂😂

Another featured performer at this years convention is our friend from Atlanta Kyle Littleton! From being on Penn & Teller Fool Us to his incredible releases to the magic community (No Sense, Giraffe Switch, 400 Lux and more) Kyle has accomplished so much. But the future will hold more amazing releases as this past year Kyle released his first book Shattered Porcelain.

The entire crew/members of NEMCON and S.A.M. 127 would like to send our deepest condolences to the friends & family of Scott Alexander. We are all so saddened to hear of Scott's passing. He was an incredible talent and friend to so many. We will always appreciate his performances and lectures as a guest at NEMCON.

Master Mentalist Richard Osterlind was kind enough to send over a congrats on NEMCON's 40th anniversary. Richard was very instrumental in NEMCON's success at the beginning of the convention. Performing at one of the first ones in 1989.

UPDATE:
We are sad & happy to make this announcement. Stuart MacDonald has a scheduling conflict & can't attend this year. We hope to have him at NEMCON very soon.
So we had to replace him with another Penn & Teller Fool Us Winner, Garrett Thomas! Garrett has performed across his home state of New York, around the country, including at the Magic Castle in Hollywood, in Canada and overseas. He has been a regular writer and consultant to David Blaine since 2003.
