Our condolences, prayers and well wishes ...
The novel coronavirus, COVID-19, is casting a shadow across the globe, bringing sadness, anxiety and uncertainty. The Q Media produaction team send our deepest condolences to those who have lost loved ones, and our best wishes and prayers to all who have been affected.
Our hope is during this time of anxiety, hardship and uncertainty that we use this time forced upon us, to spend quality time with close family,
May we suggest the following...
Take this time in retreat, to recalibrate, reflect and reconnect with your loved ones. If neccesary realign your priorities and goals. Life is often seasonal and we are currently going through what will be a long Winter, but like all seasons it will pass, followed by Spring.
With your little ones reignite there excitement and joy with simpler activities like games, crafts, sing & dance and watch the joy on your young ones faces as they engage.
Have deeper, longer conversations with your older children, use this time to find out where they're at, their concerns, hopes and aspirations,. Share stories of their youth, and remind them of past challenges they have overcome. A great opportunity to refresh or rebuild your relationships with your precious ones.
Reach out across the miles to your older family members via phone, social media, skype etc.. They may need words of comfort, reassurances or just need to talk, invite your children to speak with their grandparents and embrace the art of meaningful conversations.
Call your siblings, extended family or friends you havent heard from in a while, enquire after there well being, offering words of comfort, support & love. They may be dealing with job losses, financial hardship and other challenges and could do with some timely fellowship.
Out of struggle and tragedy something new can be born. What that looks like will depend on how we use this time that is often taken up with the hustle and bustle that is life. Lets look at the Covid 19 pandemic as an opportunity and a wake-up call for our leaders, as we unite to better look out for each other, especially after it has passed.
My daughter has a poster on her wall which says, “I never knew how strong I was until being strong was my only option.”
Now is our time to be strong and to come together as a community, looking out for our most vulnerable and each other.
Safe journey from the QMP team
