The original Ren tiki mug was “born” at Ren Clark’s Polynesian Village in Ft. Worth Texas, deemed “The Most Exciting New Dining Room in the Entire Southwest” when opened in 1960 - until it’s demise in 1969, when a fire destroyed the Western Hills Hotel where it was housed. The Polynesian Village was complete with erupting volcano, Chinese oven, thatch huts, rain running down the walls & reportedly “6 miles of bamboo”!

Texas Tiki Week is thrilled to introduce you to Ren! He’s our little pardner - a cousin to the signature tiki from Ren Clark’s Polynesian Village, which was open in Ft. Worth, TX in the 60’s. Ren is a special little part of Texas Tiki history.

Aloha! 🤙 As promised, here's an update on the 2020 Texas Tiki Week Mug! We're currently picking the perfect glaze color, so we're starting with a few teasers of the wax sculpt. This is the original mug sculpt by SQUID that gets used to make the tooling & the molds. So here's your first little sneak peek.......more to come! 🍹🐡😍

While this announcement has been delayed due to COVID-19, Andrea & Caroline are thrilled to make Overproofed Events official!! When gatherings are a “thing” again, we’ll be bringing great cocktail & spirits events to y’all...including Texas Tiki Week!

And - while there will not be a Texas Tiki Week this year (Mahalo, COVID…), we WILL have an AWESOME 2020 Texas Tiki Week mug - so watch for updates!!
