First and only Saturday ( or Friday) that we do not have a wedding in our entire season till the end of October! Feels kind of wierd honestly to not have a big event on tonight if I'm being honest 😅

But instead, today at the venue one of our amazing local caterers Chantal who runs Maggie's Provisions had her bridal shower 👰‍♂️ 🥰 Your daughter's did such a great job with it Chantal, I hope you had a great day! Can't wait to do your bouquets next month for your backyard wedding at home 🤗

This afternoon, instead of putting finishing touches on ceremony and reception spaces or wrapping up florals, I went to one of my favourite local places ( outside of our venue or home) the garden center lol, with miss Maeve ( who would not smile because she was hating on her hat haha) 🥰 Somehow even though we grow all of our own plants from seeds or cuttings for the farm and venue, we had NO plants left to plant a couple planters for our own front porch and back porch at the house 🤣 so this was a perfect day to go get them & enjoy a little time with my sister and her baby too 😘

Tomorrow's a FULL day of site visits with couples for next year, and we have a BIG week ahead with 3 floral jobs, 2 rehearsals, 2 weddings, and a LOT more site visits for eager 2025 clients on top of lots of farm work in between.But tonight, we are enjoying this evening off with family and what feels like the real start to SUMMER for us over here ☀️ have an awesome Saturday night all, & congratulations again Chantal + Melissa & Aaron from yesterdays big celebration ❤️❤️

Perfect day today for a corporate event!

It certainly started off a little unseasonable & cool this morning before Ellis Don's team, clients and partners arrived, but it turned into an absolutely perfect day weather wise 👌

A fun leadership and team building event for them!

Thanks to one of our favourites for dropping off an excellent Italian buffet spread for lunch & to Ellis Don for having such a great team that was super enjoyable to work with setting this meeting up!

Presently, the birds are singing and bees are buzzing around the venue, a few guests remain working on their laptops enjoying the perfect day, and I'm just about done cleaning up and excited to get going on some florals for another lovely couple getting married on Friday!

Well after 70 + hours over the last 10 or 12 days ( no joke, I feel I could basically be a web designer now😂😂 ), our website has been fully revamped just in time for a little holiday break starting this weekend coming ✨️✨️✨️

Special thanks to Rebecca for uploading a lot of galleries to our Google Drive on her much faster wifi to help expedite this process, and to our couples for sharing so many stunning pictures and videos that have brought a whole new life to our online presence 💕

Turns out we had barely touched our website in almost 3 years since we launched in late 2020 🤯🤯 so I think you will all agree this is a huge improvement!

Thanks for a wonderful first three years in business to all of our couples + vendor friends, and we can't wait for what the next seasons have in store with you all ❤️

Tis that season guys! ☃️

Its been an absolute pleasure getting to meet many more of our future couples recently, but we are finally calling it! We are a seasonal venue, and so it's time to close up for the winter. It's hard to believe it's only 10 days till Christmas Eve, am i right ?🎄

This Sunday December 17th, will be our last in person tour date till next May✔️

We've got many of our recent inquiries from this week already scheduled in, but if you're planning on touching base with us, please do as soon as possible! We have a few thirty minute tour times left and we'd love to meet you ♡

After this, we will go back to our fully refundable deposit policy till May, for those who want to secure one of our remaining few dates for 2025, but are awaiting a spring tour to confirm everything in person😊 We will remain available by email and phone all winter long of course!!

Also, stay tuned for our fully revamped website that will be going live very soon 👀✨️👀✨️

Despite a rainy morning while the girls got ready in our bridal suite, these two still did their first look & couple portraits down at the riverside. Personally, the umbrella & wet shale river bed make these pics even better 🥹 💗

And as it so happened, the drizzle cleared not long after & these two still went ahead with a pretty perfect outdoor ceremony on time out front of the barn! 👌

I don't even know where to begin when it comes to Erika & Cedrick's big day last fall 🥹🤯There was so much about this magical day that we absolutely loved! If we had to try to pinpoint the magic, it would be the many things that made their day unique and so custom to their tastes that really made it memorable ♡

It started with a family heirloom sofa used at the riverside for their portraits ✔️✔️

It continued with their absolutely handsome pooch playing a role in the whole celebration ✔️✔️

Then sabrage at the altar by Cedrick, followed by the most adorable halfway down the aisle kiss ✔️✔️

An epic cheese cake! The perfectly suited addition to their stunning cocktail hour and late night food setup ✔️✔️

An outdoor oyster bar in addition to their indoor charcuterie spread, served by the chef throughout cocktail hour ✔️✔️

A fun roll of the dice for their fully stocked whiskey offerings at the bar ✔️✔️

And last but not least, first dance under the barn porch, with cold spark display AND fog ✔️✔️

Some of our absolute favs down by the riverside with E & C ✨️✨️ 09-22-23

Their special day was honestly so fun, & so personal to them. They hosted a 55 person ceremony & full reception with their nearest people, and it just felt so cozy and intimate the entire time which we absolutely love!

Given our venue does not include your wedding day food, you have the flexibility to choose from one of our 10 AMAZING & LOCAL preferred catering companies, all that offer phenomenal service and foods, each with their own personal flair! This allows you to customize your menu & service style to suit your tastes and budget 🙏 With this, you can also really customize your overall wedding day experience with us, as we do not have any guest count minimum, minimum spends, or mandatory service fees‼️

Dont get me wrong, we love a good old fashioned big wedding with all of the extended family, some friends of your parents, and that great aunt you last saw 4 years ago ( we do totally get this when it comes to some groups), but we do LOVE & prefer the super tight knit events like this one 👌👌

For 2025 we've included all of our glassware, flatware, plateware and linen options IN our venue pricing ✨️✨️👌

We have tonnes of inventory of various beautiful tablescape items, including all kinds of centerpieces and candle holders, on top of the above tableware, all at your disposal! This is a great 💵 💵 💵 saver for those looking to spend that extra budget elsewhere....like on your food, drinks or various other local vendors ✔️✔️🙏🙏

We have taken it ONE step further and are allowing our DIYers to express all their creativity in setting up their tablescapes all on their own, or with the help of any friends or family members they'd like. Or, better still, any wedding planner or coordinator of their choosing❤️ ❤️

OR, if you are looking to just simply not think about any of that, we have you covered with a very reasonable flat fee to setup all of your table goodies ( including name cards, favors, menus, table decor) hassle free! I know I love setting up a good place setting ( or 120 💁‍♀️), and our lovely ladies Rebecca and Denise also love these finer details that go into a wedding day too ✨️✨️

GORGEOUS pictures from Stephanie & Jeremy's big day last fall. 🔥✨️🔥

We literally took an hour refining it down to 10 of our favs to share in this post 😆

We LOVE getting to celebrate your love story with you through hosting your nearest and dearest friends and family on our property. We feel so blessed that we get to be a part of such a special day for each of our amazing couples. It really does mean more than any of you know, that you've brought this dream space to life 💕💕

We are now actively showing our property for the next four remaining weeks of November for any potentially interested couples for a 2025 wedding or special event.....before Ottawa gets any colder 🥶

Did you know, we do also host other private parties and functions like bridal showers, birthday parties, and baby showers ? We still have some Sunday day-time availabilities for those type of events in 2024, so do hit us up!

Come December 1st, our seasonal venue will be put to rest for a few months, and we will be working on ALL the projects and plans we have on the mind, for our growing small business.

We ended with such a lovely celebration for two of the best, Victoria & Chris this past Saturday ♡♡

Thank you to all of our amazing couples this year! What a phenomenal past 6 months celebrating with you all, and your nearest and dearest. It was an absolute pleasure to be a part of your days ♡♡

Tonight we had our final little " open door" night, for our 2024 and 2025 couples to come by and see some tablescapes & tour the grounds + buildings one final time before snow flies. Thank you for coming and putting out SUCH an amazing spread ❤️ Heather you are amazing! I can safely say I'm already so excited for next wedding season 🤗

In the meantime, we are going to be enjoying some more R and R, I'm going to have a little more time with my baby girl Maeve & my hubby Ryan ( somehow she already turns 6 months next week 🥰🥰) and I'm going to be working on the behind the scenes of our business & the many cool things we have coming down the pipe for 2025 and beyonndddddd 🙏🤗🤗
