Houston's FIRST Bridal Flea is a fun event, allowing brides to shop from a curated selection of vendors, including past brides and small handmade businesses! It's a great opportunity for past brides, as well as select handmade bridal vendors, to sell their leftover bridal items to current brides! Dresses, candleholders, table linens, candelabras, silverware, and more... what's old to one bride, is new to another.

Hi there! My name is Rocquelle; I’m the Founder/Organizer of Bridal Flea; and I’m a proud Black woman! I’m a Black woman who started one of the few wedding flea markets in the country. If I can be honest, I don’t show my face around here much, because as a Black woman in the wedding industry, I worry that some brides, grooms, and newlyweds will be reluctant to participate in Bridal Flea events because of my Black face. Some may think this concern is unwarranted, but it’s my reality as a Black person in America. Well, I’ll be showing my face around here a bit more, so that you can learn more about the woman behind Bridal Flea, and I thought I’d start by sharing a few things about me.
~ I’m a native Houstonian.
~ I’m an educator by day, who’s taught everything from English to Web Design.
~ I have a cute cat named Nino.
~ I love to travel.
~ Thrift stores are my jam.
I look forward to a day when the wedding industry (and all industries) are more diverse, and I’m grateful to be able to contribute to the diversification of this industry through Bridal Flea.

This a question I’ve gotten a lot over the last couple of weeks, and the truth is, right now, I don’t know. The next Bridal Flea is supposed to be in June, but due to COVID-19 I’m trying to wait things out a few weeks before diving head first into planning. The main focus for us all right now is staying home and being healthy. While I don’t have an exact answer to that question yet, as soon as I do, I’ll be sure to share! In the meantime, love on your family, practice social distancing, focus on your peace of mind, and live in a state of gratitude. 💜

My heart goes out to all of the brides and grooms whose wedding days are being affected by this coronavirus pandemic. I can only imagine what you must be feeling, as you cancel, postpone, and reschedule your special day. However, I do hope and pray that you find peace in knowing that you have found the person you LOVE and want to spend the rest of your life with, and with that person by your side, you can overcome any obstacle, including COVID-19. 💜

I almost let the day pass without acknowledging the fact that today marks 3 years since the first Bridal Flea event! This little baby of mine has grown so much over the last 3 years, and I’m truly grateful for every vendor, friend, shopper, etc. that’s been a part of making each event possible.
