Today, we wish to express a Happy Father's Day to all fathers around the world and within our community, especially three of our eldest dads.

Meet Carl Fitzjames (Wang), Joseph Hill (Dusty) and Felix De Ramos (Pepe). Where do we begin? We can probably write a book about their amazing passions, dedication to their community and life stories.

Carl Fitzjames, 71 (wearing black t-shirt), has worn many hats in the Brasso Seco Community over the years. He is an avid 'bush man', tour guide, bird ba**er, nature activist, farmer, nuclear welder and chef. Carl has also occupied many positions in various community organizations such as the Brasso Seco Paria Village Council and the Brasso Seco Paria Tourism Action Committee. During his tenure as president of the Village Council, he was instrumental in getting electricity to the community in 2001 among many other things.

Joseph Hill, 89 (wearing blue vest) is a hardworking family man and musician who has been instrumental in keeping family traditions alive as well as promoting his cultural and community heritage. He is an avid hunter, barber, farmer, mason and was a member of the Brasso Seco Paria Village Council. He was also a key member of the Brasso Seco Serenaders parang group. Joseph has performed at numerous events in an out of the community (such as the TIDCO Culinary Festival) and is known for his sense of humor and animated personality.

Felix De Ramos, 84 (wearing striped t-shirt) has also worn many hats in the community over the years. He is an avid farmer, tour guide, musician/song-writer, hunter and chef. He was also a member of the Brasso Seco Paria Village Council and the Brasso Seco Paria Tourism Action Committee, working with Carl over the years in many community development initiatives. Felix was the leader of the Brasso Seco Serenaders and the village 'panside' (Brasso Seco Rising Sun) who performed for Dr. Eric Williams upon his first visit to the community in 1956. He is also a survivor of a Mapepire Balsain snake bite.

These three village elders, fathers, friends and brothers have been pillars and role models putting their community first and serving from their hearts. They are known for their famous 'Smoked chicken, Dhalalloo, Cassava Dumpling and Corn Ice-cream' giving the ladies competition in the kitchen.

The Brasso Seco Community says hats off to you all! Thank you! and a very Happy Father's Day!

It's the perfect weather for a hike to the beautiful .

This waterfall is located in the Madamas area; a few miles from the village. Many beautiful plants, fungi, birds and other animals can be seen on the journey.

This hike is favoured by many locals and visitors.

Brasso Seco Community is home to numerous species of wildlife including the endangered Trinidad or Pawi, classified as an environmentally sensitive species and the (which can be found in the summit near our highest mountain peak.

"A MOTHER IS SHE WHO CAN TAKE THE PLACE OF ALL OTHERS, BUT WHOSE PLACE NO ONE ELSE CAN TAKE"❤️
Meet Mrs. Mena Martin 🌺(left) and Mrs. Mary Rose 🌺 (right); two of ..a few of the eldest women and mothers in Brasso Seco Village. These two 80+ sweethearts form part of the backbone of our community, contributing to and nurturing many Brasso Seco bred youths over the years.

Always jolly, soft and in good spirits...they continue to give guidance, advice, love, support and prayers for others. Talk about 'sweethand' when it comes to pastelles, paimee, sponge cake and other local dishes. They are also both avid flower gardeners.

We say a huge "THANK YOU" and many blessings to you both on this beautiful Mother's Day.

The Brasso Seco Community says HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY ❤️ to all of the wonderful and hardworking mothers of our community and by extension Trinidad and Tobago. 🇹🇹

Happy Carnival Trinidad and Tobago 🇹🇹🇹🇹!!

Here is a little bit of the Brasso Seco R.C Primary School's carnival celebrations on !

There were four bands which included THE BEAUTY OF 'PARIA'🌿, TRADITIONAL 'OLE' MAS🎭, TRINBAGO HEROES🇹🇹 and JOUVERT MORNING🌞.

Two talented young ladies brought messages of UNITY and there was another wonderful musical performance; The Bees Melody🐝 (which was a tribute to the late ).

It was a lovely day of creativity, talent, culture, community and fun!
