Dave and Sara eloped on the beach at Bilinga. All loved up and officially married by me 💁🏼♀️ …they’re now back in their hometown in Oregon, USA ready to kick on with married life 💗
💋 Quick back story - Dave is a commercial pilot based in the USA and his schedule can change quite frequently. Dave and Sara had a trip to Australia booked, followed by a trip to Bali where they’d planned to get married in a traditional & symbolic ceremony. They knew this would not be legally binding to be recognised for them back in the US. With their tight schedule in mind, they contacted me to see if I could legally get them married while they were in Australia ….I said YES! Knowing this was within the 30 day notice period, I quickly got moving to submit paperwork to BDM to get them an exemption to get hitched in Australia before the jetted off to Bali. Elopement success….☑️

When we decided to elope in AUS as USA citizens we were concerned about all the legalities especially being foreigners, but Mikaela made it happen! She went WAY above and beyond in spending time with us and, on our behalf, filing paperwork and doing all the behind the scenes work. We just basically sat back and relaxed, and felt complete trust in her from the day we met her over Zoom that everything would work out perfect — and it did! How far have you travelled for a wedding? 🥂💗
Back in July last year, I attended a dear friends wedding in Denver, Colorado. I didn’t give it a second thought if I wanted to attend the wedding or not, I just knew I HAD to be there and I did everything in my power to make it happen ✈️
This is me, (Albeit, a few drinks deep) being acknowledged by the Groom for my travel efforts. No kids, no Husband (yes, I missed them terribly), just me and some life long friends catching up, reminiscing, and creating more memories…I had an absolute ball! There were many differences I observed for what a wedding ceremony looks like in a different country. Most notably, two moose swam across the lake right after the ceremony!!🌲
You see, weddings are one of those life events that people make space for. They make plans to gather and move mountains to attend.

Ho ho ho! My cup is full, and so is my belly!
It’s the week between Christmas and New Year where noone can remember what day it is, time does not exist, and cracking a beer at 11am is totally acceptable🍻
For me, Christmas Day was spent with my family, swimming at the beach, devouring lots of yummy food, and many belly laughs 🏖
I love reflecting at this time of year and reminding myself of how much I have achieved, but I also get just as much enjoyment looking forward to the next year. I’ve set myself some new business goals, where I plan to be the best version of myself, shine that out in to my community, and continue meeting and marrying the most awesome humans (psst, that’s you! 😉)
Here’s cheers to a fun week ahead, check in with those around you, and I look forward to chatting with loads of couples about their 2023/24 celebrations soon! 🤩

Today is our 8th Wedding Anniversary.
Happy Anni, my darling 💕
Here we are wrinkle free, mortgage free, kid free. Where we are today is exactly what we dreamed of; house, family, kids, amazing lifestyle. We’ve achieved this together, and I’m so proud of us 💫

“Mikaela is an outstanding celebrant. From the outset we knew we had made the right choice, with her warmth and sense of humour, we felt comfortable with Mik and the whole process from the get go.
Mikaela walked us through every step. Our first meeting over a coffee a month or so before the wedding really put us at ease. Mik went through some of the formalities of the marriage process and gathered some information about our relationship to build content for the ceremony. She also provided so many tips for the ceremony which really helped us with some decisions in the lead up to the wedding.
On the day itself, Mik was fantastic in preparing the groomsmen and liaising with the wedding coordinator to ensure the set up was perfect. She was a source of calm in the lead up to the ceremony.
The ceremony itself went off seamlessly. Mikaela's direction of proceedings was spot on, as was her introduction of us and our relationship. Her words were a perfect mix of humour and sentiment that were so fitting for our relationship.
We are so happy that Mikaela was part of our wedding. She made such a valuable contribution and we couldn't recommend her more highly..”

Beba and Cooke were the absolute stars of Maria & Chads ceremony and it was absolutely paw-fect! 🐾 Their understood the assignment as ring bearers and were rewarded with treaties at the altar and a round of a-paws by the guests at the end … 💍👏🏽
