It is with a heavy heart that we are announcing that due to low advance ticket sales, we will be unable to move forward with Oaktoberfest 2023. Thank you to those of you who purchased advance tickets. All refunds will be issued via Eventbrite back to the point of purchase.

These things are always a labor of love, but if we cannot cover the costs, then we can’t throw the party. By making this difficult decision we can ensure we are in a position to continue to throw amazing gatherings, and to make our next event everything you’ve come to know and love from Groove Productions. We love you all and we will see you in the spring. Stay Tuned!

Happy day Revival family!

Thank you all for reaching out over the last few months. We see you, we hear you, and we feel incredibly fortunate to be part of such an active and encouraging community. Revival Festival has grown into something greater than we could have ever imagined! And while we take pride in shooting for the moon, we also know the importance of staying close to home.

After nearly 3 decades, Harmony Park continues to bring people together from all walks of life. Memorial Day Weekend has always stood paramount at the beginning of each festival season because it sets the tone for the months that follow. For this reason, we’ve decided to kick off 2023 with a more affordable, family oriented festival under the oaks. The large-scale production of Revival Festival will be postponed to 2024, and in its place, Useful Jenkins will host an intimate gathering for campers and musicians to tap into the foundational roots the park was built upon.

We will keep you updated as our plan takes shape, and can’t wait to spend another magical weekend together in harmony ❤️

A note from the artist: Albert Lea used to have a major train station and constant railway back in the day (called James Station then) for the Chicago Northwestern Railroad, as far back as the original pioneers. I love using pioneers because it's so similar to the pilgrimage to a festival with your clan. We wanted to interpret that as this old original steam engine, leaned against a larger than life tree, as it's being overgrown by nature and cast into shadows from the sunset.

We have our characters, packs with them, celebrating their close arrival to their destination with friends and good times (represented by the sunset). The engine has the same number of the railway through there and the lights have now started to mysteriously glow and come to life. I have to admit, there's also a very intentional tribute to my favorite lyrics in "I Know You Rider" by the Good Ole G/D. ..."I wish I was a headlight, on a northbound train."

I think this ref is buried in here enough to be safe but also a treat for the crossover demo of bluegrass / heads.

We got really into the balance of this concept and it ended up presenting more as an art print format.
