Maya and Jake’s wedding was one to remember! There was a fun-filled atmosphere right from the start and I knew straight away that the dance floor would be full of energy the whole night.
Some of my favourite moments however were before the dancing started. About halfway through this film at the Chuppah, the Rabbi says some words which Jake had written, and there is a small moment where Maya lets out a little laugh of excitement. It’s these tiny details that get captured, which really show how the bride and groom feel about each other, and in my opinion give the film its energy.
A pleasure to film as always at one of my favourite venues @offleyplace, and great to work with @thelondonfunctionband for the first time, that was one of the best entrances I’ve seen! A shoutout to @thomasbone.photo for the beautiful cover photo, a pleasure to have worked with you!

Portrait shots with the couple are where I get some of the most ‘cinematic’ shots for the wedding film. That being said, the discrete approach to filmmaking remains here, and I won’t ask my couples do much posing or looking a certain way. I much prefer to tell people to just be with each other, take in the fact that they just got married, and I’ll capture whatever feelings and emotions come out that way!

Walking down the aisle 👰♀️

In my opinion this is the most important shot of the day! For me, weddings start with the bridal prep hours before the aisle walk. But it always feels like all the planning, excitement and anticipation leads to this particular moment, where the groom and all the guests sees the bride for the first time. It’s a very special moment, for which you can be sure I’ll be getting a good angle for 😂
