Nirvana showed a completely new side of themselves as a band with their iconic “MTV Unplugged” performance in 1993. Prior to this show they were known for bringing their high-energy Seattle grunge sound to the masses. This stripped down performance displayed Nirvana’s musical versatility, and their ability to still let the depth and emotion of their songs translate in a completely new way than their official releases.

It’s moments like these that we at HITKOR are giving to fans everywhere. When artists perform on the HITKOR stage, they bring their audience new ways of experiencing their music. We’re in the business of creating and capturing iconic music moments like these.

The HITKOR Showcase Channel presents our premiere “HITKOR Kares” Event, “A Tribute to the Big Band Greats”. A superstar 17-piece Big Band and 6 of the top Drummers in the world, pay homage to the greatest Big Band Drummers in History. The guests and band swings custom medley “suites” composed by arranger Duane Benjamin and elevate these historical pieces of music, to new heights. HITKOR Kares teams with the NAMM Foundation to promote Music in Schools and the furthering of music education. Jazz Legend Peter Erskine, Session Superstar Russ Miller and the Great Dennis Chambers, all household names in the drumming world, launch Day 1 of this two day HITKOR exclusive event.
