Police investigating police should never be allowed.
Transparency should be mandatory, but it will never be.

Disappointing when this is commonplace these days.
Of course they have a job to do.
But it needs to be done professionally.
More people need to come forward when this stuff happens.

Poor training by the venue owners and or security company supplying security staff for the venue.
This time it's an employee who thinks he's a TV personality..........maybe thinks he's " The Rock "

Security guard claims he was hit in the face, let's see what footage from inside the venue turns up to support his claims.
Very doubtful as the excuses get generated to cover the wrong doing by staff employed.

Good staff are like gold 👍
Bad staff can cost you everything.

A security guard has been placed on leave after a dispute at the Coogee Pavilion escalated into violence. A teenage boy was pushed to the ground and so was a woman who tried to intervene. The entire incident was caught on camera.

Northern Territory Police have arrested a 36-year-old man in relation to an alleged assault at 1am on Saturday.

Police allege the assault occurred between a security crowd controller and a patron at the Landmark @ Gateway.

The victim, a 29-year-old man, suffered injuries to his face and later attended hospital for treatment.

Detective Senior Sergeant Annette Cooper said: “Police are aware that footage is circulating on social media and would like to thank members of the public who reported the offence.

“Police would like to speak to anyone who witnessed the incident or who has footage of the assault. Please contact police on 131 444 or via Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000. Please quote reference number 10265444.”

Lack of proper training, employing bad security staff, quite often with already bad reputations , and businesses that don't seem to care about the repercussions...........until it all goes pear shaped.......

So the young man should follow up with police.
See how the investigation pans out. Hopefully the venue security cameras don't suddenly NOT WORK, SO SORRY.

There's been many a patron severely injured, almost killed by heavy handed security either showing off or trying to assert themselves in front of their peers.........and then think it's comical when high fiving each other.

When that happens, the security guards on duty, the venue owners and security service providers quickly try to fabricate a story/evidence to suit the action taken to benefit a favorable outcome for them leaving the patron with lifetime injuries, both mental and physical.

Very, very poor work and business practices shown here.🙄
