Thursday night vs Elkhorn. Lady Warriors won 54-27.
Carly Wemhoff created this short clip of our girls competing in Fremont last Friday.
We had a very good learning practice today. The girls that were able to be there today worked to get better minute by minute.
After practice we had a little fun playing give the dog a bone. There were some great battles.lots of cheering and laughing. I love these girls. There will be more videos in the comments.
We had our wrestle offs last night under the spotlight. It was a great atmosphere and there was a decent crowd on hand to watch the girls battle for varsity positions. These girls are putting in the time and hard work to improve and compete at a higher level. The coaches are really excited about our numbers (36 girls). We had 33 matches and there were some great battles. Keep it up girls. This is just the start to a great season.
Carly Wemhoff put this video together to give you a glimpse of what is to come this season.
Another milestone for Schuyler Girls Wrestling. We had 30 girls at preseason conditioning. We are building teamwork and enthusiasm day by day. I love seeing kids try new things. We had 3 new girls join us today.
We had a gorgeous day to go out to the field and blow our lungs out. It was tiring for the newbies but it is my hope that they will soon understand why we work as hard as we do in Wrestling.
Great work today girls. Good things come to the people that put in the time.
More videos and pictures in the comments from today .
If you ever had me as a coach for football, track, or wrestling you probably had to do these at sometime. The good Ol' carpets. It's not the most fun but it gets us in shape.
The girls did a great job, pushing each other along with encouraging as well. Not for sure, but we maybe had a puker 🤮?? Yeah, that happens once in a while.
I love the comradery that the girls are bringing this year. Keep up the great work this year girls.
The girls started preseason conditioning on Monday. Good numbers participating. Picking up a few newbies day by day. Looking at 32-38 girls participating this season. These girls are learning success hurts. The more it hurts the greater the strides are towards success.
We also take some time to learn a little about each other at the conclusion of conditioning. Part of being successful is have someone's back. It is hard to do that when you don't know them well.
We have 5 young ladies that speak very limited English. They have stepped out of their comfort zone and are becoming involved in our program. They have smiles on their faces when they are done and the rest.of the team are taking them under their wings. This is one of the greatest parts about this school, we are extremely accepting of new people wanting to be involved. Win or lose doesn't matter, you are a Warrior.

And one of the funniest videos in our last dual. Baylor won this match in overtime. We call this takedown "Riding the Bull."
Here is a video when they announced we were champions of our division.
