Have a venue that doesn’t allow flame candles? This bride’s venue did not allow candles & this look was achieved through battery operated candles. Water activated, fire safe, & you honestly couldn’t tell the difference.

I think I’ve only done one other introduction post so I thought I’d start the month off with some reintroducing 🖤

✨ I’m Ashley! Owner of arplanninganddesign. This business is my passion & I only take on a select amount of weddings per year. I don’t over work or overbook myself because quality is everything to me. I have another business in the works as well so I book because I truly love designing & overseeing weddings not just to keep my calendar full.

✨My books are closed for 2022 as I prepare for inventory in 2023. I have a few weddings/events booked for 2023 so far & would love to add a few more. If you have a unique idea or challenging theme I’d love to work with you to bring it to life.

✨I am planning a late spring photo shoot which will encompass my new inventory & fresh florals. I can’t wait to reveal it all.

✨ I rebranded back in June & I want to continue building my brand of creating weddings & events through all inclusive design packages as well as custom designs. Our all inclusive modern collection will be available late December.

Another goal I have is to network more with other vendors. If you’re interested in chatting or collaborating I’d love to hear from you 🙂

Wedding tip Wednesday 🤍

Cake cutting tips! Cake cutting is a tradition that is usually done at the reception after dinner & before dancing begins. Be sure to have it done before your photographer leaves so you can have the moment captured. You can choose a special song to cut it to if you wish. Typically the groom stands behind the bride & places his hand over hers as they both slice it. You can choose to feed it to one another, smash it in each others faces or simply smile for a picture. Be sure to check with you caterer to confirm they include cake slicing for your guests! If you want to save the top layer of your cake be sure to let your coordinator know so they can arrange with caterer to make sure it is put aside for you. If you’re having a large cake, wedding boxes for guests to take home a slice can make a great favor 🤍

Our greenery wall is booking into 2023 ✨

When I started this business over a year & a half ago our greenery wall was one of the first items in our inventory. I didn’t imagine how quickly it would gain momentum.
It’s now our most popular rental, set up/take down is always included & we have bookings over a year away!

Always excited to see the growth & progress from our original items that helped bring our business to life.

✨ Our July 8th bride Danielle, wanted very simple faux flower arrangements that matched her dusty rose theme. We used Ling’s moment’s flowers to bring her vision to life and custom made the table numbers ✨

✨Time to introduce myself ✨

One goal I’ve set for myself over these next few months is to build my business through networking & social media. So to all my current followers & the ones to come…here’s how I got I started & what my next steps are! ✨

I dreamed of being a wedding/event planner for as long as I can remember. I was the little girl who would watch wedding shows on tv, looking at the decor, trying to figure out how they set it all up! My mother always threw gorgeous Christmas parties, and there is something about creating a space for people to enjoy themselves with loved ones that makes my heart happy.

I’ve always worked in an office setting that required me to be extremely organized & self motivated. I loved logistics but I wanted to be in charge of them! I started taking online wedding certification classes, and with my management experience, & 10+ year background in customer service, I launched AR Planning & Gifts LLC in June 2021.

In just a short year, I found my specific passion lies in planning weddings from start to finish, as well as bringing design visions to life. I started building my decor inventory, and in June 2022, I rebranded my business into AR Planning & Design.

I'm working to build a full service team, as well as open a wedding/event venue. In the mean time, I'm here to plan the wedding of your dreams or any other event you can imagine.

Fun fact: In my free time I love spending time with family, (I have 3 kids & the best husband that often helps me with custom decor/breakdowns 🙂) traveling to new places, nature, eating diverse foods, history, & interior design!

Coming June 2022: We’re rebranding!

AR Planning & Gifts launched in March 2021. We started providing wedding management services also known as “month of “ or “day of” wedding coordination. We launched an Etsy gift shop for custom gifts. In just over a year, I realized how rewarding (& important) it is to be a part of the entire process when planning a wedding or event. I fell in love with the creativity & time it takes to set up decor, and create designs. I realized how good I was at managing and directing the entire process, & that I had the resources to build an inventory.

Through that realization, I began working on rebranding into “AR Planning & Design” and next month we will be official!

Our biggest change is no longer focusing on “month of” or “day of coordination”. We have also closed the gift shop.
We are here from start to finish, whether your vendors are secured or not, to help create the wedding or event you’ve always imagined. AR Planning & Design will offer decor packages, featuring modern & chic decor, as well as pieces that can be rented A La Carte. If you don’t see your inspiration in our portfolio, we can create it, or work with vendors to bring your vision to life.

This re brand allows us to provide incredible service for clients, as we put in the time (& work) necessary to execute your event. It allows our creativity to sore, and no idea is too big or too small. We aren’t limited to a certain service area and hope our designs, decor, and skills can reach anywhere.

✨ Our official rebranding shoot is June 13th 2022! We’ve rented a beautiful modern space, & will have professional gorgeous photos taken of all of our inventory including
centerpieces ,
place settings,
accent walls,
aisle decor,
chairs, & more! ✨

We’re in the process of changing our social media pages, & AR Planning & Design will be live via website in August.

Welcome February!
January has been full of design consultations, partial planning for weddings in the spring, finding a space for growing inventory, and interviewing for additional assistants!

It’s been super busy preparing for this wedding season this spring & summer but it’s a good kind of busy. I feel great about how January ended and I can’t wait to for what’s to come this month ✨
