Hello everyone, with a heavy heart we have to announce that a Mizucon 2024 as you know it will not happen. This is due to DFDS deciding to hold fewer events in 2024. We are in contact with them in hopes of holding a cruise event for 2025, so keeps your eyes open for that!
We are also working on holding a smaller event for Fall 2024!
Although we have not been the best at keeping you all updated, we appreciate your support and look forward to seeing you all again🫶
The first ever Mizucon has now docket and we are busy planning our next voyage ⛴️
We want to thank our amazing crew who truly went above and beyond making sure the event went smoothly. They were flexible and patient during all hiccups and waves.💪💖 (an extra hug to Jen, Cas, Alvin & Nari who wasn’t available for the group photos)

We have two drawings contests! One SFW and one NSFW.
You’ll write your name, and what competition the drawing is for, on the back of the page.
When you’re finished put it in a submission box.
You can participate in both competitions, but each person can only submit 1 drawing per category.
Selected crew will go through them all at 18:00 on Saturday, so that’s your deadline. We will provide art materials, like paper and pens, to the best of our abilities. Though if you prefer a certain medium, we recommend bringing your own materials.

We will be hosting a contest, where we are looking for the best vibes at Mizucon.
Throughout the event post a selfie on your story with mizucon tagged and using the hashtag

As soon as the boat leaves the docks in Oslo, our doors will open for all attendees. The alley will be open from 15.00 until 22.00. Same time for Friday and Saturday. 🕝😄

DFDS aren’t allowed to sell seasickness tablets on the boat. If you think this might be a problem, be sure to buy them in advance ‼️
In addition, if you bring any medication, remember to check if you’re allowed to bring it to Denmark ‼️

The lighting on the boat isn’t the best. Especially in some of the cabins. So when getting ready, a small ring-light can be incredibly helpful.

Cosplay Video Competition ✨🎥
With MAX 2️⃣0️⃣ participants, you can showcase your cosplay in a 3 minute video. This must be an already existing fictional character. Where you have made, at the minimum, 50% of the costume.
🚫No original character allowed🚫
Creative freedom in the video is very much allowed 👨🎨📝 and a part of the judging, but you should clearly be portraying the character you have chosen.
It is required that you bring the cosplay to our event, so you can showcase it in pre-judging. 🔎👀
Have fun with it 🌟 We will be showcasing the videos in an auditorium with popcorn and snacks available 🍿🥤 It will be a blast! Whether is funny skits, a music video performance or a heart-wrenching display of acting , we are excited to see what you create 🫣🤩
Our second competition will be a 🥁
Cosplay Masters Competition 🥳🧝♀️
With MAX 1️⃣0️⃣ participants, this is a purely costume based competition. 🪡🧵However you will be given the opportunity to take a quick walk on the stage. 🕺💃
Like the other competition, your cosplay must be from an already existing fictional character. Thought with Masters, you will need to have made at least 90% of the costume. 👩🦰 With wigs and shoes being an understandable expectation 👞
❌The costume can not have previously been worn on stage if you won first place 🥇in any Norwegian cosplay event. Likewise if it has been used in any international cosplay championships, it’s not allowed ❌
