Unfortunately I can no longer attend the Miss Britannia Crystal finals to hand over my title due to George being unwell 😔

I wouldn’t like to pass anything onto anybody, and my baby needs me with him at home this weekend for plenty of love and cuddles.

I want to wish everyone competing the very best of luck! Go out on that stage and smash it, I know you all will!

Thank you so much Donna Hanks for an amazing 2 years in Miss Britannia Crystal. I feel honoured to have held both titles in this amazing system, met some friends for life, and had SO much fun doing it!

For now, I will be hanging up my pageant crown and just focusing on where I’m needed most, with my beautiful baby boy. Thank you everyone for all of your love and support over the last 2 years, and for showing me how amazing the sisterhood in pageants is! 🥰

🌸🌸 CLEAR FOR A SMEAR 🌸🌸

I’m joining Kathryn Özmaya in her campaign . I attended my smear appointment just after I turned 25. The whole procedure lasted around 30 seconds!! 30 seconds to save your life!!

All women over the age of 25 are eligible for a free smear test at their GP practice so CLEAR your schedule and get it booked !!

I want to raise awareness of this devastating disease and how it can be avoided by simply getting tested.

PLEASE JOIN THIS CAMPAIGN AND HELP ME HELP OUR SISTERS AVOID THIS HORRIFIC DISEASE!

🌸 What is cervical cancer?
Cervical cancer is when abnormal cells in the lining of the cervix grow uncontrollably and eventually form a growth (tumour).

🌸 Symptoms of cervical cancer
Not everyone diagnosed with cervical cancer will have symptoms. Things to look out for include unusual vaginal bleeding, pain during s*x or vaginal discharge.

🌸 Getting diagnosed with cervical cancer
You usually start by seeing your GP if you have symptoms that could be due to cervical cancer. Your doctor will then decide whether to do tests or refer you to a specialist.

🌸 Survival for cervical cancer
Survival depends on many factors including the stage and type of your cervical cancer.

🌸 Treatment for cervical cancer
Your treatment depends on several factors. These include what type of cervical cancer you have, how big it is, whether it has spread (the stage) and the grade. It also depends on your general health.

🌸 Cervical screening
The cervical screening test aims to pick up changes early that could develop into cervical cancer if left untreated.

🌸 Stages, types and grades of cervical cancer
The stage of a cancer tells you about its size and whether it has spread. The type means the type of cell the cancer started from. The grade means how abnormal the cells look under the microscope.

🌸 Abnormal cervical cells
An abnormal cervical screening test result means that you have changes in the cells covering the neck of your womb (cervix). Abnormal cervical cells are not the same as cervical cancer.

So come on girls get those schedules out and CLEAR FOR A SMEAR

Easily one of my best memories was the photoshoot at Gwrych Castle! We all had so much fun as royalty in the castle for the day, we got to see lovy parts of the castle and spend some quality time together in our gowns and trainers 😂

LET THE COUNTDOWN BEGIN 🥳

All About Me -

My name is Maddie and I’m currently your Miss Britannia Crystal!

I have the most amazing little boy, George, who is now 18 months with my partner, Ben! We live in sunny North Wales 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿

I started pageants a couple of years ago and Britannia Crystal is the first and only system I have ever known! I was first crowned Miss Britannia Crystal Queen Regent, but didn’t have it in me to leave the pageant world after my handover, and took to the stage again, earning the Miss Britannia Crystal title.

It has been a new and exciting journey and experience and I wouldn’t change it for anything 🥰💙
