These beautiful peeps travelled over 10,500 miles from Australia to tie the knot in our beautiful country, and what an amazingly wonderful, wild and windy elopement they had.
The beautiful ceremony took place in the church by lovely Ashton, followed by a vintage hamper picnic and an adventure photo session with fabulous Victoria and Ross in Glencoe, then back to St Mary's for a romantic candlelit dinner.
K's stunning dress was her Grandma's vintage wedding dress which had been amazingly and lovingly altered!!!!!
K and J are incredibly beautiful souls, an absolute bundle of joy and pure love.
We can't wait to share more of their amazing photos with you.

From Italy with love ❤❤
Oh my goodness, Serena and Andrea's unconventional elopement was just so, so perfect.
With their closest family and fabulous wedding planner, they all travelled from 26c heat in Italy to a brrrrrrr much colder sleepy Scottish Glen in late October to witness S&A tie the knot in stunning autumnal glory. Magnifico!
I keep having to pinch and remind myself how blessed and grateful we are to live in a lovely old church in Scotland and host these wonderful wee weddings for such beautiful and thoughtful people. 🫶

After living here for nearly thirteen years, I still drop whatever it is I'm doing, flap about with my arms in the air like an idiot trying to find my fujifilm camera....strangely not always where I left it, and run outside to see light like this.
And my jaw always drops in utter amazement!

Beautiful, incredible nature.

Emily and Mark were dreaming of an intimate, meaningful and wild wedding in Scotland last year when they contacted us to say "we accidentally found your venue and fell in love and you'll think we're mad but we'd like to get married in 3 weeks time!" Yay let's do this I said (I LOVE a last minute wedding) and contacted some wonderful suppliers who were also totally up for it.
Everything was arranged, all was set.....until....Covid got in the way of plans the week before, but hey let's not talk about that!
The date was rescheduled to this year, so E and M jumped in their camper van a couple of weeks ago with their beautiful baby and travelled over 600 miles from Cornwall to a sleepy Glen in the Scottish Highlands to elope.
And it was toooo beautiful.

Low tide or high tide, the river provides the most beautiful photo backdrop on your wedding day.
The river curves in an elegant arc from its various sources and carves the Glen before opening up into a typical fjordic sea-loch, notable for it's serpulid reefs.
It's stunning.
Absolutely stunning.
Some wedding couples love to swim in the river too.

2 months today we eloped to the highlands ❤️🌸☺️

We got married in the trees, in a caim, and had a handfasting ceremony to tie the knot.

A few photos and some lovely lunch, then home to girls and their gran who were waiting for us with some cake and balloons.

It was just perfect 🧡

I've been midge proofing the cabin for our beautiful wedding couple this weekend, just in case they come out. The soaring heat has kept the midges away but I can't take any chances and have the gorgeous couple being attacked before their special day! No, no, no!
I just adore the shadows that the vintage net (I found in my way too big fabric stash) is creating.

The house and my hands are heavily scented with sage from making some diy sage smudge sticks this morning, it's such a wonderfully heady smell. I used mainly sage with a tiny addition of lemon balm and itsy-bitsy seasonal flowers, all from the garden.
When burned, smudge sticks give off a resinous smoke which is said to burn up toxic energy and bring things back into balance. A sense of calmness, well-being, clarity, optimism and physical energy are also among the many benefits. The Latin word for sage 'salvia' stems from the word heal.
Let me know if you would like a complimentary smudge stick for your wedding here, I'll put one aside for you with pleasure.
