ATTENTION HIGH SCHOOL SENIORS AND PARENTS!!!

Willow Event Designs, together with Amy's Downtown Diner, Capital City Party Rentals, and Pots and Petals, are super excited to announce our 2025 Open House Contest!!!

RULES:

1. Must be a high school senior;

2. Applicant Requirements due to Willow Event Designs by February 14, 2025 via email at [email protected];

3. Open house venue must be within thirty (30) miles of Perry, Michigan;

4. Open house vision meeting (including theme) must occur no later than March 31, 2025;

5. Open house must be scheduled with vendors no later than March 31, 2025;

6. Open house to be held within the month of June 2025;

7. Open house committee members will each pick their top three (3) applicants. Finalists to be discussed and chosen by the committee; and

8. Winner will be chosen and announced on February 28, 2025.

APPLICANT REQUIREMENTS:

1. Personal Resume that includes: (a) name; (b) address; (c) cell number; (d) email address; (e) parent/guardian name(s) and phone number(s); and (f) school district;

2. Letter explaining why you should be chosen for a grad party and your goals for the future;

3. Two (2) letters of recommendation; and

4. Due to Willow Event Designs by February 14, 2025 via email at [email protected].

WHAT YOU WIN:

1. Willow Event Designs - vision meeting with winner and parents, Willow design plan, event coordination, set up crew, tear down crew, in stock linens, in stock decor, and balloon arch (approximately $2000 value).

2. Amy's Downtown Diner - catering credit ($400 food value) no labor fees.

3. Capital City Party Rentals - 20 x 40 tent, 8 tables, and up to 80 chairs (approximately $475 value).

4. Pots and Petals - 8 centerpieces (approximately $400 value).

Last but definitely not least, please meet Alyssa!!! Alyssa is an energetic, passionate, and highly creative associate event designer who brings a fresh perspective to the world of event planning. With a youthful spirit and an eye for design, she infuses every project with enthusiasm, helping to transform clients' visions into beautifully executed events. A recent college graduate, she has quickly become an invaluable member of our team, known for her collaborative approach and dedication to creating unique, memorable experiences for each client. Outside of her event design work, Alyssa demonstrates her commitment to service by working at a local bank, where she assists customers with professionalism and a smile. Her ability to balance her passion for design with a strong work ethic and people-first attitude has earned her the trust and respect of both clients and colleagues. Whether in the office or behind the scenes of an event, she’s always willing to go the extra mile to ensure satisfaction and delight.

Lia is an associate designer with a unique passion for both design and early childhood education and care. With a strong foundation in the principles of child development, she brings a fresh and thoughtful perspective to every event she works on, ensuring that designs are not only visually stunning but also purposeful and meaningful for all attendees.
Whether it's creating an environment for a small intimate gathering or a large-scale event, she has a keen eye for detail and a knack for turning concepts into reality. In addition to her design work, Lia is deeply committed to early childhood education, which informs her design process. She is passionate about creating environments that nurture learning, creativity, and well-being—values she carries into her work as an event designer. Lia is always eager to be part of a collaborative team that pushes the boundaries of design, and she continues to grow as both a designer and an advocate for children’s development. Her dedication, creativity, and enthusiasm make her a key asset to any event planning project.
