Let's try this mindset.Whatever we do whatever our goals are. It's a pretty good mindset to have when you put yourself in a state of constant 'work in progress'.

Why? Cuz, think about it! What do we usually do when we complete? We kick back, relax and watch stuff on tv. But if we constantly put our minds in a state of 'work in progress' we will always come to a position where we will be constantly moving, constantly striving, constantly going for more.

This is especially true if you're in sales(whatever it maybe). And one way i use as trick for me to constantly put myself in a 'work in progress' mode is to have a very big vision. Give yourself a vision that might seem out of bounds but you know you can achieve it. As for me my vision is: to stand on a stage, in a stadium filled with audiences, listening to me speak. And even for me, i am fully aware that it is a long way to go. And that vision will constanly put me in the 'work in progress' mode.

Don't get me wrong. I'm not saying all you do is work, work, work, work, work, work and get burnt out. But you constantly doing your best to achieve it...while enjoying the scene along the way. I mean, what's the point of a trip if you don't enjoy the view?

Highly recommended! The food mostly are nice. Abit pricy but for good reasons. Everything you order comes in double the portions. A lot, i know, cuz the idea is that you're supposed to share the food around. But being someone with big appetite like me, i just ate the whole thing alone with extra room for another slice of lamb chop...oh and can't forget them nachos i also devoured. All in all, i highly recommend this place...😋😋😋😋😋😋😋😋😋😋

Coming from a real estate agents' perspective, what i'm about to say might seem counter-intuitive and might be contradicting from other real estate agents. But for me, i care about providing the best value for my clients even if it might sound counterintuitive.

But i would highly suggest(especially for youngsters who are under 30), to rent a house rather than buy. Heck, even i'm not gonna buy a house. I'll just rent. And i have good reasons for it.

1)Asset vs Liability:
We were told that buying a home is an investment cuz the price will go up. But here's the thing-not always. You have to really consider where that house is, which part of the city is the house at, what kinds of accessibilities and facilities are around the housing area. So not always the price will go up..and in some cases some housing areas might actually lose value over time. So in this case, that eventually becomes a liability instead. If you want to buy a house for investment purposes, you really need to study about the place first.

2)Credit score and loan approval:
If you're under 30 and you've just graduated from Uni or college, there's a very high chance that your credit score might not be good or you might not even have a credit score...which in both cases you the loan approval from banks is something that is hard to get...and even if you can get approval it might not be for THAT house you've been eyeing.

3)mortgage payments:
Paying the mortgage is pretty much like a life sentence. You've bought the house. Yay, congratz! Now you'll have to pay your mortgage for the majority of your lives. And here's the cherry on the cake. The house is not yours...yet. Until you've fully paid the mortgage.

4)It is NOT as liquid as you think:
Say you might need cash immediately for whatever reasons. And you decide to sell the house for it. Yeah great! But here's the hold up though! The process of selling a house might take anywhere from 6 months and could take a year. And that is after you've found a serious buyer. So that immediate cash...isn't so immediate after all...

So here are some of the reasons why you should rent.

The other day i wrote briefly about Leonardo Da Vinci and how he is a Polymath. So what is a polymath?

Simply put, a polymath means someone who is well-versed in wide array of knowledge and skills across multiple disciplines. And based on these cross-disciplinary knowledge and skills that they pursue with their passions as their compass. And with these wide span mastery in skillset and knowledge the polymath can then churn out what they've learned into meaningful and sometimes even innovative works.

Before i even knew of the word Polymath...years ago when i was younger...i always knew that i have a wide array of skillsets that i'm good at...which includes writing, singing, dancing, marketing and sales, as well as art and many more. I was also a nerd so i'm also interested in science, as well as philosophy, psychology, data analytics and...well English..

And back then i always thought to myself how come our society today is so single-lane focused in terms of career and interest...you only get to pick one field...for the rest of your life...if you're a doctor..you're can only be a doctor...and trust me i have high respect for doctors and what they do.

But i knew that...that is not the route i'd like to take...i used to study IT back in University...but i still felt some sort of worry or fear that if i graduate and stick to it...i felt like i'd be setting myself in a life-long trap...that i can only be in the IT industry...but what about those other interests, knowledge and skillsets that i have within me? I felt like if i stick myself in that route it's pretty much as if i'm wasting off those other things...and i knew i wouldn't be happy in the long run...

But ever since i stumbled upon the word Polymath and studied about it...oh and one of the big traits of a Polymath is that when we are interested in a subject we study it extensively...the what, the how, the who, the why and the when...we study the ins and outs of the subject...so when i studied about Polymath and what it is all about...that's when i truly realized..."i am a polymath"...and when i embraced that part of me...i want to live it to the fullest...which is why i'm building Iceberg...

Hello all you amazingly awesome people and welcome to Iceberg! We are a community that is based of the idea and philosophy of Polymath. What is a Polymath you might ask? A polymath is a person who has wide array of skillset and knowledge across diverse fields. Traditionally we were taught that you need focus and can only focus in mastering and working in one profession throughout our adult lives. If you're a doctor, you're just a doctor. If you're an engineer, you are an engineer. That's all you are. That's all you can only be. But think back during the Rennaisance era, great people like Leonardo Da Vinci, Benjamin Franklin, Ibnu Sina(Avicenna) and many more people like them, whereby they dabbed their hands in multiple disciplines and fields.

Even when i was younger(before i knew of the word Polymath) i realized that i've got a wide array of skillset across different fields. I'm a nerd who is fascinated with science, but i also love art. I like music, i like to dance, i like to sing, i've been in a choir group, i even want to try painting.

At the same time, i'm a pretty good writer. You can see it by just how i write this post. And even in writing my skillset span out as well. I can write stories, i can write poems, i can write song lyrics, i can write scripts for plays. I can also write for marketing purposes(copywriting).

Oh and at the same time, i'm also pretty good in Marketing and Sales. I managed to sell 200 pieces of ice cream for my class project within less than 2 hours...sold out! It even surprised me at the time. I'm pretty good at analyzing business.

So you see, these things were in my head when i was studying. And back then i was still stuck with the traditional mentality. But i knew i didn't want that...i didn't want to graduate and just work in IT...yeah it's a needed industry and has high pays..but i knew i wouldn't be happy..knowing that i have all of these skillset on my plate...but i can only use 1...it felt devastated for me...

Skip forward a few years later...i stumbled upon a word-Polymath...and that changed my view drastically...and thought..."yeah that's right...i don't have to follow the traditional route...i can just make my own routes...i can make my own career that i would truly enjoy doing..." which led me to build this company..Iceberg!

Iceberg! is a company/community that celebrates the idea and philosophies of Polymath. Where we can share our skillsets together for our projects. Just imagine what we can accomplish together. Just imagine what we can achieve together. Just imagine the kinds of innovations we can do together. Well...imagine that! We can truly live life to the fullest.

Cuz for me, i don't see success in terms of money like most people. Money is just a tool. And until you realize that money is just a tool, you'll be a slave to it, just like the rest of the people. For me, success is fullfilment, happiness, joy, being mentally sound, waking up everyday, excited to take on the world.

We only have limited time here. Our lives are short and fleeting each second. So why not make the most of it? Think about do you really want to spend the rest of your lives in resentment?do you want to spend the rest of your lives feeling like you're trapped in the rat-race, dog-eat-dog culture? For me, it's better to collaborate rather than compete.

But i guess i'll leave it all to you.

But if you want to join me, just hook me up, down in the comments, DMs, follow my channel and let's embark on this amazing journey...

Together!

Thank you
