Anemone experiment with mid/late spring planting in the Shade has resulted in Summer flowers. Saskatchewan springs can be very unpredictable so this planting this year saved the corms from the early high temperatures. The bought of cool weather that followed kept them happy, and they seem to be thriving. Anyhow, just thought I'd share my findings. 😉

Until I have the peony patch of my dreams, I'll settle for irises. What are your favorite varieties? I think I'd like to add some more colours this year.

First flowers of the year! I'm definitely sold on daffodils. 😍 Hope they get a bit taller though. 😁🤞 The spot I planted them was partial shade, but after a tree clearing it's mostly full sun.

One of the things I'm most excited about with the new garden season is trying out electroculture. All you need is a stick and some copper wire!
It's meant to increase the vitality and size of the plants in the surrounding area. I'm super intrigued and have seen some amazing results from others online.

Have you tried in your garden? Are you going to try it this year? What do you think of this idea?

Thank you to everyone who has reached out with interest in flowers this year, it's truely heart warming to have your support. I will however be taking a step back from flower production this year. I will still have some bundles available, but more sporadically and fewer quantity.

That being said, I did plant a bed of daffodils this past fall, so if it ever does stop snowing we do have those to look forward to!

And at this point we deserve to see some flowers soon! What a winter!

The equinox has come and that means we're getting closer to flowers in the garden. Here is a little Easter decoration crafting idea if you have any extra dry flowers laying around. I've been planning these for a while and today was finally the day. I've seen them done of Pinterest with fresh flowers but since we still have snow outside these seem to do nicely.

Let me know if you try it!

All you need is dried flowers + egg shells. Crack the eggs near the top for bigger "cups"!

Trying to narrow down my selection of snapdragons but I also want to grow them all. What varieties are you growing this year? I loved the Orange Potomac last year. So that one is a for sure.

Winter has arrived and the garden is tucked in with a nice blanket of snow, for the rest of the season. But that doesn’t mean we can’t still have flowers! I spent the last part of the summer drying and preserving everlasting flowers, and I have some adorable new ornaments for sale! All of these are filled with flowers from my garden. It makes a unique Christmas gift and would look lovely on any tree. Please take a look through, I’ll be updating with more as I have them ready. Fall is breezing through and it looks like a hard frost is visiting us tonight. I hope you were all able to get out and pick what you needed from your gardens before the big “mush”! I’ve been busy this week preparing pumpkins and posting them to my stories. Some of you were so eager that a few are already spoken for. Please message me to claim as I only have a couple left.

Hello Everyone!
It looks like fall is here to stay and our flower days are sadly numbered. Like the rest of you I have also started the garden clean up and I will be harvesting whatever I can in the next few days, because our fun is threatened to end on Wednesday. However I am still picking buckets of flowers so we will have at least another week a blooms! I have also started drying flowers in hopes that I will be able to offer you some differnt kinds of flower arrangements in the colder months. Get in touch if you would like flowers this week, this might be your last chance this year!
